TomVH: DT Aziz Shittu & **DT Ondre Pipkins Offered

California DT Aziz Shittu (6'2", 280 lbs) was just offered by Michigan. He had been in contact with Coach Ferrigno, and talked to Coach Mattison today. Besides having an awesome name, his film is pretty impressive as well. You can take a look here. 

Shittu also has offers from Arizona, UCLA, Stanford, and Washington among others. He says he doesn't have a top group yet, but Stanford is a school that sticks out so far. He reports a 3.8 GPA, so academics will be in consideration.

Here's what he had to say about the offer:

I'm pumped. I just talked to Coach Mattison and he said I'm what they need at Michigan. He likes the way I play, and they offered. [Mattison] has coached at the highest level, so he knows what he's talking about.

Former Saginaw, current Missouri DT Ondre Pipkins was also offered today. Here's what he had to say about the offer:

This is a big offer, most definitely. They were telling me that they want me up there bad. I'll try to get up there in the summer if not mid March. It's great to have the offer, with the new defensive coordinator it means they'll have a tough  hard nose defense. Michigan is definitely in my top five.
