TomVH: Desmond Morgan Commits

Submitted by TomVH on

LB Desmond Morgan just committed to Michigan. He called the coaches about an hour ago and told them he's a wolverine.

There's nothing like the Big House. I had a great time on the visit, had some time to spend with the players and coaching staff more. The players and coaches are all great guys and good people. It was a tough decision, and I thought about it all day yesterday and today. I called Coach Rodriguez and told him if the opportunity is still there I'd like to join the family, and he said of course.

Morgan had an offer from Northwestern as well.

Great addition to this class, this kid is gonna be the real deal.  The ultimate LB sleeper recruit, he reminds of the type of player that Iowa or Wisc always seem to find and develop into beasts.  Welcome to the family Desmond!!  Hopefully Avery Walls will shock us and commit tomorrow.  Damn Oregon!!

Nice. This is a great pick up. This kid has huge upside and will be one of the gems in this recruiting class. Also, I must say this is nice to get some good news after the division names and logos debacle. I was going to drink heavily tonight because im sick of studying for finals and Jim Delany pissed me off, but now my excuse is Im snowed in and I am celebrating Michigan getting another solid linebacker...welcome aboard Desmond!

I'm watching Morgan's highlights and he's fast and knows how to hit fools hard.  Plus he's a QB so maybe we could work in some trickery on special teams or something.  Great news today.
