TomVH: DeAnthony Arnett WR MVP
WR DeAnthony Arnett was named MVP, according to his brother, for wide receivers at the Nike camp this weekend. The event was held at Ohio State, and Arnett was hoping to get his fifth star after this event.
He was the co-MVP, along with another Michigan target, Shaq Washington.
I really hope our passing game impresses him this year. This guy is a flat out beast and I really hope we end up getting him in the end.
FUCK. SHIT. UP.
He really cares about Stars?
I wondered that myself. I can't see him sitting around with his friends getting some food mentioning how he is wanting that "fifth star". Seems a bit odd.
I can easilly see many of these recruits caring about stars, and I don't have a problem with it. These players are among the best athletes coming out of high school and they want to be recognized for it. It doesn't make them better players to get the fifth star but it's rewarding to get the highest ranking possible. It's similar to those of us who are more academicially oriented wanting to get the best score on a test/top ranking in a class. It doesn't make us smarter or better, but it reaffirms to the world our skills/knowledge.
10 years from now, no one but you will remember what your class rank was or how you did on your SATs, and it's mostly the same with these rankings.
let him go, don't believe the hype, it's all about him and how many balls get thrown his way, not a team player imo

(A) You'd have happily taken Burress as a Michigan WR, lest you forget how he ate Michigan DBs for lunch about ten years ago;
(B) How in the world can you claim WRs don't care about balls thrown their way?
(C) Making a comment about a HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR is irresponsible and pathetic. You should want a WR that wants to make a difference. For you to claim it's a negative is just fail.
