@TomVH, Curtis Grant?

Submitted by DGDestroys on

To TomVH or anyone else in the know, I just read a scout blurb in which Curtis Grant said he wanted to visit Michigan sometime over the summer. I wasn't aware we were a player in his recruitment, do we have a legit shot here?

That's helpful and all, but I did that before posting. Pretty much all the tags involved tell us he's visiting, I'm more wondering how legitimate of a shot we have, I haven't read a whole lot about his Michigan connection besides the possible visits.

Yeah, he's mentioned Michigan consistently as a visit destination for a while now. Until it actually happens, hard to gauge how involved we are in his recruitment.

I jope we land this kid because many ppl think DePriest will go to OSU because Braxton Miller. We need a true LB. Curtis Grant fits it. If we land Grant and Frost then We will have a great LB core in the future. Hope RR lands both.

...this link now found in the mgo.licio.us section provides an informative update on Curtis Grant:

...Although he reads the rankings, Curtis tends to stay quiet with the media. "I look at the rankings sometimes. I mostly read about other players, or myself. I don't want too much media attention, though. I just like to keep it quiet," he said.

Grant's recruitment will pick up during the summer, as well, as he has a list of schools that stick out to him, so far. He plans on taking visits to those schools, to find out more about their programs. "I'm going to Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Georgia Tech, and Florida during the summer. I'm going to go to Michigan and Ohio State in August, too," he said. These visits will be viewed as the preliminary visits, to narrow his list down. "My official visits will be to get to know the schools more in depth, and get a closer look at them, so I'll use those on my narrowed down list," said Grant.

Thanks to TomVH, I'm now able to provide more usable information and less snark.  Thanks for saving me from myself, Tom!
