TomVH: Commitment Picture at the BBQ
For those that don't tweet I will share a link to the picture I was sent from the BBQ of all the commitments together, including Wormley. Before you ask, far left is Bo Dever walk on receiver.

be careful. many people are sensitive to making jokes here. very serious discussion of high school kids going on.
is huge, you can see the weight he has put on.
He doesn't look fat either, he's just a massive human being.
he looks fit, 6'7 320. Our depth at OT is going to be awesome.
I think it's a little difficult to tell how big he and the rest of the guys are in the picture simply because most of them are linemen. If anything Morris just looks tiny. Braden is a huge dude, though.
Yeah Morris looks tiny, but I find it hard to hold that against him when he's standing next to Strobel and Wormley, both of which are a legit 6'5. Having stood next to Ben Braden in June, he is literally 6'7 with no exageration, and it's not out of the question that he's 6'8. Just look at his calves, they're massive!
but 6'7" might be stretching his height. I know some list him there, but he doesn't look 2" taller than Wormley or Kalis (though he looks bulkier than Kalis, yikes!)

This was the first thing I noticed too. This kid just screams "Mongo" for a nickname to me.
I was just about to comment on that. He's a tank. It doesn't look like any bad weight, he looks solid...and huge.
Wormley also looks like a stud.
Wormley's no small dude and Braden makes him look like a dweeb.
Now if we could just get Pipkins in that picture.
For that matter, where are the Cass Tech kids and Ross?
Somebody has to take the picture.
Someone at the BBQ sent me a text that said Coach Hoke gave an emotional speech after watching a highlight video from the past and present. It got the kids and families all fired up apparently.

I wish I could've seen that speech. Coach Hoke already has a great presence and that voice is awesome, he sounds like a 90 year old man haha. I'm not surprised he's doing so well already. Hopefully we will see a polished product on the field this fall. Let's Go Blue!!!
to really show how big these guys are......for some reason, they all look kinda small w/o a reference point...
..until you realize that Dever is 6'2 and 195 lb.
Your reference point: Gant kneeling is the same height as Vincent Smith standing.
They look far to clean for it to have been a BBQ ... I dont know anyone especially a 300lb + guy who can eat some good BBQ and not get any on their clothing ...Kalis looks to have been the only 1 who ate atleast he looks full

What a great group of kids coming to UM, would of liked to see more pics from the BBQ. Possibly the speech Hoke gave, or the highlight video. Any chance of either one getting out?
