TomVH: Arizona ATH DJ Foster Offered
I have been mentioning Scottsdale Saguaro ATH DJ Foster (5'10", 180 lbs) for awhile now. I've spoken with his coach quite a bit, and his coach had always been telling me they were hoping Michigan would come through with an offer, and they finally did today.
Foster's coach told me that Dan Ferrigno was out to see him today and loved what he saw. They offered on the spot, which was the same outcome he got from Auburn today as well. Foster is the real deal, plays wide receiver, running back, and defensive back. He has offers from Arizona, ASU, Arkansas, Auburn, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, and more.
I'll have more directly from him soon, but his coach told me that DJ is definite interested and excited about the offer. He said, "I know Michigan has been down for the last couple years, but it's still Michigan. It's still Michigan and DJ is definitely interested. We're excited for him."
Thanks Tom.
CB/ Slot ninja most likely given his current size.
RB would be a long shot considering the downhill running game that Al Borges plans to install.
Star running back Ronnie Hilman is 5-10, 175. If you're good, Borges will play you, regardless of lack of size.
I'd assume we're recruiting him either as a WR or DB, which is it?
Player. Very good offer list. Tom, any chance for a visit to AA ?
Thanks for another late night update. Just when I think it's safe to go to bed you come back with more info.
deliver a hit with authority too.
Man, the kid is just a blur in his highlight film. He certainly knows how to hit a hole and accelerate through it!
It's about time. I was wondering when this was going to happen.
As a junior he rushed for 1,421 yards and 22 tds, caught 43 passes for 740 yards and 4 tds...oh yea, also made 60 tackles and 7 ints...
Those are some serious stats this kid has been putting up. Looks like he never comes off the field. I haven't watched a film yet but sounds like he would be a great get for UM.
Man this kid is versatile, why didn't we offer him earlier? I wonder if Taylor Lewan knows this kid, if so hopefully he can convince him to go blue!
I'm doubting Lewan knows him since it's a different high school (Scottsdale's not that small) and this kid would have been a freshman during Lewan's senior year.
Maybe you're right, just thought it was worth mentioning.
Edit: Turns out my speculation was right, he does know Taylor Lewan
I'm typing up the interview right now, Michigan wants him as a DB.
Snoopy's Cuz approves of this offer. Do not drink the Auburn kool-aid and bring the peyote to Ann Arbor where it will be appreciated.
I have a real bitter taste about kids from Saguaro. My brother played them last year and he told me that everyone who tried to hit him tried to either twist his leg or twist his neck. Those players are dirty. He did not have anything bad to say about DJ though, but that is probably because he plays DB and never really has a chance to hit him when my brother is on the field. I am not saying anything about this kid and this may not be the best place to post this, but I feel that the program he is a part of is very unehtical and trashy.
This guy looks like he can be an impact player for us in no time. GO BLUE DJ!!! Those who stay will be champions.
Informative.
