TomVH: About This Weekend

Submitted by TomVH on

I had posted this on Wednesday or Thursday, I can't remember, but then deleted it because I didn't think he wanted it out there. Since it's been out now for awhile and people are asking I'll just post that Kyle Kalis is visiting with his family this weekend.

Like I've said before I think he wants a decent amount of privacy with all this, so I was surprised that this was out there. I spoke with him last night and he hadn't settled on a day to visit yet. I'll talk to him tomorrow to find out if he's coming in tomorrow or Sunday. He wants his mom to see everything that he saw on his last visit. This is a big deal for Michigan.

Next we move on to 2013, and then 2014, etc. on throughout the new millenium.

When Hoke points, he can recruit future All-Americans not yet born . . . .

Thusly, he will provide us with a seemingly never-ending supply of Hello posts . . .

I Lol'd....Just keep him out of South Florida area where they gamble on pop-warner games.  Don't want a sketchy situation with our staff. HOKE POINT! MARTIN SMASH! ahhh great team this year.

Fortunately, in less than 2 months we'll have, you know, actual football to focus our obsessive behavior. Recruiting is fun and all, but I am totally geeking out for football action again.

Of course, a second possiblity would be that all of our current commits could de-commit and then we could have a whole new round of "Hello!" posts to get excited about. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

My good friend down here keeps asking me which recruit that I want the most ... and I don't even hesitate -- KYLE KALIS!

Have fun, Kyle .. hope your family sees all that you saw!

Michigan would be so very lucky to have you here. I hope your mom likes the campus as much as you did. You would be such a great asset to this team hands down. I wish you the very best in your decision. GO BLUE!

As i have stated i live in fargo north dakota and the info i get on michigan athletics is via espn which in my opinion they hate us and the internet. I can guarantee you this site is the best kept secret on the net. Fargo is a long way from my hometown of redford michigan. So to be able to come to this site and get a fix everyday about whats going on is awesome so thank u all. Sorry back to topic getting this kid would be huge that would make 10 recruits out of the state of ohio.

It is like finding water in the desert. All i ever hear about is north dakota state, minnesota gophers, north dakota sioux hockey, twins vikings ect ect. There are actually quite alot of golden domer fans. More what i was trying to say is this site beats rivals and scout hands down. And not because it is free.

pretty outrageous that we have the #8 OT (per rivals) committed and we're still well in it for #3 Andrus Peat, #4 Kyle Kalis, #5 Josh Garnett and #7 Zach Banner.

Hoke: he be good

Hopefully will see a Hello post Sunday afternoon.  Kyle Kalis is a beast and what another great way to add fire to our rivalry with Ohio, stealing a recruit from under them.  GO BLUE!

I usually find myself calling Tom Brady Tom Terrific. But now I may find myself calling TomVH Tom Terrific by the amount of good news he brings to the table. Thanks for all that you do Tom. That being said, Jordan Payton has mentioned publicly about getting a Fab Five of recruits together to go to the same school. Is this realistic that it could be Michigan? And if so, who might be the other four players he's talking about....anyone have any ideas???

I think UM is a long shot for Payton.  He has admitted, basically, "I liked Michigan growing up, and wore Michigan attire - I want to see the campus because of that".  We've got to be the 4th or 5th team on his radar right now.

He has a lot of teams on his mind, once the dust settles it will be a lot more clear what teams he has legit interest in.  You can expect the west coast schools but it will take a lot to actually get him on campus the further east you go.

Make that 10 and counting!  I echo the sentiments about the commitment flury over the last few months.  I find myself checking this site a minimum of 7-10 times/day (I gotta' get a life!).  It's like a drug - I'm drooling over how OL recruiting has gone and Kalis would top it off nicely!

Their decisions aren't likely related. Wormley is a quiet kid so he wants to announce quietly and unexpectedly. He'll do it when he thinks it's a time that no one will expect.

Well surely noone would expect Wormely to commit today, Saturday July 9th. Hell, Tim would have to scramble something fierce to get his "Hello" post together in a reasonable time frame. Yeah, no way he commits in the next few minutes. It would shock the world!

in this thread he usually post something creepy about trying to make a recruit commit. i guess he must be in A2 like he said hopefully he doesnt do anything stupid.

to watch the program of their dreams self destruct.   The blind eye Michigan once received by many of these  Ohio recruits are now open.  This is a win-win situation for both Michigan Football and the Ohio recruits.   JT and OSU forced these young men to open their eyes and explore their opportunites-when all is said and done, several recruits and thousands of Michigan Fans will be thanking them.

I was just at a huge 7 on 7 tournament in California.  As I was walking up to one of the fields, Jordan Payton just caught a bomb touchdown.  One step into the endzone, still in mid stride, he sees me in my Michigan hat, points with the ball and said, "Go Blue."

That guy is a stud.

I've never been so excited/nervous about an upcoming season as I am this year.  I hope these recruits realize that Hoke is trying to run his team with RichRods players and not his own and that they are going to have to be a bit patient.

Kais would be HUGE!

Whether RR's players are perfectly suited or not, Hoke & Co. are going to have infinitely more talent than they had at SDSU, and they had them going toe to toe with legitimate programs like TCU and Missouri within 2 seasons.  Whether or not our 8-4* record improves, we should see vast improvement in competing against the top half of the Big10.

I kind of feel like RR got thrown under the bus...Greg Robinson was not the guy for Michigans D- cordinator spot.RR had many faults..I think to many people blammed everything on RR..But Hoke Will restore the best Football team in the nation..

Michigan Wolverines: 884 wins, .735 winning percentage, 42 Big Ten Titles, 11 National Titles, 3 Heisman winners, and 77 consensus All-Americans

Soon to be more of everything Hoke for president.
