Tom Crean recieves dreaded "Vote of Confidence"

Submitted by HAIL2VICTORZ on

I for one would not miss Hitler Hair in the slightest.

The rise and fortunes of Indiana (athletics) is with Indiana basketball. Everybody thinks the guy with the clipboard, the next guy, can be better. But starting over is overrated. You can't be willy-nilly about it.

I wouldn't necessarily fire the guy right now, but you can't honestly tell me that this guy isn't the definition of an underacheiver. He should be competing for Big Ten titles and Final Four trips every year with the talent he can bring to IU. Instead you're hoping to just make the tournament.

But honestly, I will laugh at any misfortune that befalls this guy on the court. After he went on his little temper tantrum with one of our assistant coaches two years ago, this guy deserves whatever crap he gets.

They were talking about Brad Stevens taking the job on the WWL yesterday. Would rather see Crean stay there.

The next inline for Izzo's job... The pressure at IU is immense. They have been  looking for the next Bobby Knight for sometime now.. Brad Stevens would be a force to recon with.

Who is an alum and his Father Inlaw is a trustee say's that Steven's has the job. All he has to do is show up.

Getting him to show up is the issue.  This isn't like the Harbaugh situation.  Stevens isn't an IU alum and isn't being forced out by bad management (at least as far as I know).  I'd be very surprised if he leaves the NBA, at least in the near future.

I'd prefer they hire from within since they don't have a Lavall Jordan equivalent and seem to go through assistants fairly fast. If you're Hollis you have to be careful not to wait too long for their switch considering that Duke will be looking for a replacement for Coach K, UNC will be looking for a replacement for Roy Williams, and Syracuse will be replacing Jim Boeheim all within the next 10 years.

I was raised a Hoosier. I had Damon Bailey and Calbert Cheaney posters in my room growing up. I stopped rooting for them when they fired Knight and hired that crooked ass coach from Oklahoma. They should have hired Alford when he was available.

They will win on Saturday and make the tournament.  But beyond that, they won't do anything.  Not sure he is the long term answer at Indiana.

IU faithful haven't taken up pitchforks and ran this joker out of town. However, from my vantage point,I'd like for him to remain on their sideline for awhile...by far one of the BIGGEST ducholic to ever coach in the B1G.
