Tom Crean recieves dreaded "Vote of Confidence"
I for one would not miss Hitler Hair in the slightest.
The rise and fortunes of Indiana (athletics) is with Indiana basketball. Everybody thinks the guy with the clipboard, the next guy, can be better. But starting over is overrated. You can't be willy-nilly about it.

There are many people on IU's campus that cheer for both teams.

I wouldn't necessarily fire the guy right now, but you can't honestly tell me that this guy isn't the definition of an underacheiver. He should be competing for Big Ten titles and Final Four trips every year with the talent he can bring to IU. Instead you're hoping to just make the tournament.
But honestly, I will laugh at any misfortune that befalls this guy on the court. After he went on his little temper tantrum with one of our assistant coaches two years ago, this guy deserves whatever crap he gets.
The next inline for Izzo's job... The pressure at IU is immense. They have been looking for the next Bobby Knight for sometime now.. Brad Stevens would be a force to recon with.
Who is an alum and his Father Inlaw is a trustee say's that Steven's has the job. All he has to do is show up.
I don't think there is any doubt that Indiana would take him. Just like Michigan's hiring of Harbaugh, the question is if Stevens is interested in going to Indiana.
Getting him to show up is the issue. This isn't like the Harbaugh situation. Stevens isn't an IU alum and isn't being forced out by bad management (at least as far as I know). I'd be very surprised if he leaves the NBA, at least in the near future.
Yeah, it's hard to see him starting the rebuild job in Boston and leaving without seeing what he could do with a team that's actually trying to win.
I want all of the good options to be off the board so that when MSU is looking for Izzo's successor they fuck up and hire the basketball version of Anastos.
MSU's not going to hire a superstar like Stevens, if that's what you're worried about. They're not that prestigious. They'll probably either promote from within or hire an up-and-coming guy.
I'd prefer they hire from within since they don't have a Lavall Jordan equivalent and seem to go through assistants fairly fast. If you're Hollis you have to be careful not to wait too long for their switch considering that Duke will be looking for a replacement for Coach K, UNC will be looking for a replacement for Roy Williams, and Syracuse will be replacing Jim Boeheim all within the next 10 years.
This site does not speak much but it is created by angry Indiana fans and it is gold, in my opinion:
http://www.tomcreanbuyout.com/
It just tells you what Crean's buyout is today and how long until the next scheduled reduction.
Who's about to get Creaned?
Tom Crean is, if IU fans are angry enough to raise $11 million to Crean him.
They will win on Saturday and make the tournament. But beyond that, they won't do anything. Not sure he is the long term answer at Indiana.
IU faithful haven't taken up pitchforks and ran this joker out of town. However, from my vantage point,I'd like for him to remain on their sideline for awhile...by far one of the BIGGEST ducholic to ever coach in the B1G.
