Title says it all. Enjoy
Mike Lantry, 1972
Thanks for the info, just turned it on
Hee hee. Tuned in and caught the comebacks vs Penn State then Alabama in the Orange Bowl.
I didn't realize he was the 4th (!) QB on the Pats roster his rookie season.
Great special. To see what happened to the other QBs in front of Brady is interesting and to see Mel Kiper, Jr. eat his hat is probably the best.
but Mel Kiper doesn't wear hats. Unless his hair is a hat.
But maybe after eating his hat after that draft, he chooses to no longer wear hats?
Hats off to Brady for making it happen!
I will admit that while I remember Tom Brady being taken later on in the 2000 NFL draft, I did not actually remember that it was 199th overall, and even more interesting, between Matt Bowen and Sherrod Gideon, neither of whom are in the league anymore. Actually, I think Dhani Jones went in the 6th round that year as well, now that I think about it, but I am pretty sure that the only active NFL players from that round now (could be wrong here) are Marc Bulger and Tom Brady.
I think that speaks to his tenacity and, as pretty much said near the end of the program, he fights for that spot as the starting QB every day, at least in his mind. You're still all Blue, Tom.
That last line at the end of the piece in the film on Carmazzi is the greatest thing ever written. I was in tears laughing at this part.
I hope Mgovideo or some youtuber puts this online for all us out of country folk.
shocked its not on there already
Tom Brady is special regardless of the network he's on!
Unvelieveable to watch him choke back tears when recalling the day he got drafted - even after all of his success. Goes to show you, 90% of life is the effort you put it into it.
I think it is out there
