Tom Brady Posts Resume Online

Submitted by michchi85 on

This was too good not to share with the masses.  Tom Brady had this resume ready to go after the 5th round of the draft, realizing he may need to get it out there.

Having played Polo Fields a few times, it's definitely an Ann Arbor golf club. Have things changed between 1998 and 2007? I know the first time I played Polo Fields in 2007, it was located just off of Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. I've played nearly every course in the Jackson and Ann Arbor area worth playing, and I don't ever remember Polo Fields being located in Jackson.

I was actually thinking of Travis Pointe CC a little further down the road across the street from Stonebridge. And those are actually off of Maple St just off of AA-Saline. I've played a few private clubs in the AA area and get them mixed up since it has been a while since I played them. But yea, I'm not sure what could be the reason for him putting Jackson, MI. That could definitely be a possibility.

Side note, I played Lake Forest and for the price I paid I wasn't expecting much at all. I was pleasantly surprised with the course.

Leslie is nice, but not one of my favorites around AA. Both the UMGC and Radrick are beautiful if you have a chance to play them. When I'm willing to take a little bit of a drive out of AA, Moose Ridge is one of my favorites to play along with the Grande Golf Club in Jackson and the Legacy Golf Club (Arthur Hills design) down in Ottawa Lake. Everytime I've played Legacy, the greens are in superb condition and overall the course is just very well manicured. A sleeper course for me when I was in school, was going to Chelsea to play Pierce Lake. As a student they had pretty good deals and I could play really cheap. The course isn't spectacular (greens seemed to be inconsistent and not in the greatest shape I've seen), but I think the course has great value. I always thought I got more out of it than what I paid for. I'd love to be able to play Travis Pointe and Polo Fields again now that I'm older. I played them a few times in tournaments when I was a kid, but they are both private courses and I couldn't find a way to get on them during my time in AA . From what I remember, they were both beautiful courses.

The Dudlar and Sons custom building one is a bit egregious.  As a 19 year old he "helped construct major facilities" while "supervising on-site staff".  Being around some construction folks in my life I cannot imagine a green "pretty boy" 19 year old who works out of the office supervising much at all on a construction site lol.

That said the "Additional" makes up for it. ;)

Does anyone else want him to update it?

Nice clean layout.  Bullet points. Concise.  Shows extra currilicular activity and steady work history while maintaining high GPA in achieving his degree at a top school.  Impressive.

As I reflect on where I was when 21, the age when Brady wrote the resume, and where life has gone since, for both him and me, you never can predict the future in the least. Things have an interesting way of turning out.

Obviously, he was supremely prepared and made the most of his opportunities. Carpe Diem. That's a great reminder and example for me and for most of us.

That's fantastic.  Loved the part where he learned about administrative day-to-day operations at Merrill Lynch.  Definitely skills he's used in his future endeavors.

Forget that he now can add most wins and most playoff wins in history among all NFL qbs (see also this link and another one).  What’s interesting are the rumors here in Boston since he sold his estate in Brentwood (for 40 million to Dr. Dre) and began moving to a new 14,000 square feet home on 5 and ½ acres in Brookline.  Some here think that Brady’s move to Brookline may set him up for a career in politics once his playing days are done.  Famous politicians from Brookline include former President John Kennedy, his brother and once presidential candidate Robert, as well as former Governor and Presidential Nominee Mike Dukakis.  It has been home to the Mayor of NYC, The King of Thailand, and the U.S. Ambassadors to Israel, Japan and Canada as well as to noted political commentators, such as Mike Wallace and Barbara Walters.

On the other hand, if politics don't work right away for Tom Brady, he may have a fall-back option.  Maybe one of the former coaches from his 1997 team (Brady Hoke) can convince him to take a temp job at UM---like coaching QBs under Nussmeier (just 'til the President of the USA job opens up, of course)..

I've also had a suspicion he is headed to politics.  He has a lot less ads then Peyton Manning despite being way more photogenic and obviously brighter based on his college choice ;)  So I always wondered if his lack of ads was due to not wanting to be associated with this or that that SOMEONE in this PC society could use agains him down the road - i.e. a politician would not want to be in a beer ad.

You'd think Brady would be THE MOST popular person in the NFL for ads based on success, his background, his charisma, etc.

The only summer I've attended any of those events.  Now I have two brushes with Tom Brady that amounted to nothing.  I could have had a picture of just me and Tom after the 1998 spring game, instead I was waiting around for Dreisbach's autograph, which I never got.
