Tom Brady Photoshop FTW

Submitted by MAgoBLUE on

I came across this photoshop of Tom Brady on Twitter and had to share it here.  Credit to Twitter user @SirDRob

It would be nice if any talented MGoPhotoshoppers could put a Michigan twist on this.

I think it's supposed to be a spoof on the Tebow mania, not really to say that Brady = JC.  That's my take anyway.  I'm not offended.  I'm also not offended by Polish jokes so take my opinion for what it's worth.

to put this in a football analogy, my opinion is that poland's roster is almost completely made up of 4 stars, and plenty of them are high 4 stars. there are only a couple 5 stars, but there are similarly few 3 stars and below. poland has great depth. also, germany is new mexico state in this analogy.

so I can neither agree nor disagree with you.  However, I feel analogies like this are too few and far between.   Well done.

Then next time I see my doctor re: my cholesterol panel, I want him to tell me "Your total cholesterol is definitely a middle-of-the-road 4 star talent.  But, I really think your HDL has the potential to be a true 5 star player."

it's not too funny when you take anything away from who Christ is.  Neg me if you need, but I'm just sayin.  I see the humor in the Denard photoshops on Touchdown Jesus, but it's not something that I personally find funny.  Thanks for not trashing this guy too bad for being honest.

Just before the Giants-Pats heartbreaking EFFFUUUUU Eli Superbowl. I titled this "The Last Super Bowl?" as part of a video project spoof. I don't know if I saved the high-res print version, but one of the older assistant techs loved it and asked to take it home, saying "Brady will love this." I still don't know if Tom has seen it....http://i.imgur.com/XxCLL.jpg

So, I agree with those who think that the photoshopped Jesus is just a joke, and not worth getting offended over. I'm personally not offended. (although, I also am pretty "meh" about finding it funny.)

However . . . here's a question for those who are quick to throw out the "it's just a joke - lighten up - don't take things so seriously" line.

If you're consistent, that means it's ok for others to make jokes/photoshops in terms of race, (Black Brady? Indian Brady? Tom Obama Brady?) other religions (Allah Brady? Budda Brady? Ghandi Brady?) sexual preference (gay Brady? lesbian Brady?) gender (transgender Brady? Brady with boobs?) etc., etc., etc.

Where I get cynical is when someone says "lighten up" about something that doesn't matter to them, but then takes offense when something important to them is the butt of the joke.

Personally, I avoid gay jokes, or race jokes, or religious jokes, or sexist jokes. I don't want to offend others. But I suspect some of those who think Jesus Brady is funny would get pretty uptight pretty fast when their own ox was being gored.

What does Indian or Transgender Brady have to do with Jesus Brady?  It's saying that Brady is amazing, like Jesus. Some of your examples work, and no, I don't really have a problem with Allah Brady, Ghandi Brady, Budda Brady, or Zeus Brady.  And there have been so many Obama poster memes, I'm surprised there isn't a Brady one. The colors even match.  The offenses, and the examples, don't match.

And if Brady had boobs he'd never leave the house.

I wasn't sure I should respond at all since I laughed, but my comment went in the wrong place becasue I understood a comment that was made that offended a poster.   I thought that your best dead nuts comment was "Where I get cynical is when someone says "lighten up" about something that doesn't matter to them, but then takes offense when something important to them is the butt of the joke.  I must say I am the same way sometimes.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time for your well thought out post!

I think it's funny and even though I'm a Christian I don't find this offensive. Then again, I feel like everything should be fair game for humor. If you can't laugh at yourself or the things you believe in then how can you laugh at everyone else?
