Time for some additions to the hockey C-ya chant?
I think it is appropriate to come up with some potential new additions for the C-ya hockey chant in light of ohio football doom.
CHUMP, DICK, WUSS, DOUCHEBAG, ASSHOLE, PRICK, CHEATER, BITCH, WHORE, SLUT, COCKSUCKER
TRESSEL? OHIO?
Any good ideas out there?

The current hockey cheer is: chump dick wuss douchebag asshole prick cheater bitch whore slut cockucker skipoler shake weight
We (Children of Yost) are considering retiring shakeweight, as we believe it would be old and stale by next season. We added it after the south park episode. We welcome any new suggestions right now for next season. We want to debut the new addition early on in the season so everyone can learn it and takes hold for the entire season.
The other thing with that is that I think a lot of people just didn't get it. With the band playing over the chant, it's really hard to make out the words and by the time you got to that my friends and I (not in the student section) were just confused. I personally didn't get anything after "cocksucker." Unity is more important than length with this kind of thing, I think, and fewer, but more effective, hard-hitting jabs would be best. I think addding "Tressel" would be really good, particularly if you can get everyone to come together on it. You could probably work his name in elsewhere as well, and I look forward to cheering on your noble efforts.
I agree with you. The main leaders of the Children of Yost are in section 17 next to the band. It can be hard for the rest of the student section to hear us. It should get better next season with the band moving. to the south endzone seating.
Seems like "Tressel" might be a little redundant given that "cheater" is already there. Then again, he's synonomous with most of the list. But I agree including him sounds necessary, maybe just replace the whole thing with worlds related to him: "Tressel, sweatervest, jim, senator, happy easter, infractions, SEC"
Even though they aren't exactly a hockey powerhouse, it might be fun when tOSU visits...I highly encourage this weekend-scope project! For others, it might be too specific to do the whole list, but I do think adding "Tressel" would be a nice touch given the rivalry and our (Yost's) reputation as awesome.
use that chant when tsio infects Yost the next time.
Ps. having a band director who comes from a state that only knows that ice comes in their drinks isn't working out as well as some of the previous ones. And yes, I am outing a fellow sooner.
FWIW, the band plays during the C-YA chant due to pressure from the University, which has been trying to get rid of the chant since I first came here in 2004. They even threatened to revoke everyone's tickets one season. I think that the Swedish National Anthem has to redeem the band a bit, anyway, doesn't it?
replacing shaker weight with Tressel seems symmetric somehow, since he has become the ultimate embodiment of cheaters everywhere.

Sweatervest seems to be the easiest to scream with a nice collection of hard consonants. That's my vote.

Douchebag is the most overrated and overused word of curse in the English language, and its reign of mediocrity can't end soon enough. But I sure do like chump, or chumpfuck, or chumpfucker, or some derivative therein.
Please, just stop with the sophomoric chant. I hated it when I was there and I continue to hate it when I come back. Is it really too much to ask to keep it clean?

I have never enjoyed this type of chant/taunts, it is beyond dumb and immature.
and yes I am a Dad.
and I realize it is part of the game, and the culture and being a student... and my straight-A, honor-roll 14 year old attends the games with me, and he seems to understand that as well.
if you are so offended, seriously, don't go... the university is doing what it can to drown out the chants by directing the band to play over them. regardless, yost is a college setting and the games are well-attended by students who show their passion. duke students do the same exact thing at cameron...
perhaps you'd prefer to attend games where the students don't go, don't cheer, don't get into their team... I think you can probably get seats for EMU's club hockey team and experience what you are looking for.

One reason is my current location, second is I don't want to hear that stuff. You can support your team loudly in many different ways, not just with a curse filled chant. Please are you not supposed to be some of the countries smartest students? Can you not find a way to taunt an opponent in a less "Columbus" type fashion?

The operators of the twitter account asked this question a couple of days ago. The best responses were tattoo artist and raffle fixer.
Raffle fixer is hilarious especially since it is such a small part of the ohio cheatery. As a side note, ending the chant with whore was really quite effective back in the day. That word resonates very nicely at the end of the chant. Slut was uncreative IMO. Cocksucker is the word that appeared to push the university over the edge. The "c-word" as Red's email called it.
I still think it should be Shegos at the end of it.

They usually play Iron Man right after which is the sickest song they do, in my opion.

Kashmir and Black Dog are awesome. And Zeppelin is the greatest band of all-time.

If anybody under 40 is still reading this thread, I think it would be cool if there were just an OSU version of the chant that replaced all the monosyllabic words with "cheat" and all the disyllabic words with "cheater"
"and Michigan still sucks" (forgive the profanity). The student section should cheer "AND OHIO STATE CHEATS"
When I was in student section, I was always partial to "Ohio resident".
