Time to let the cat out of the bag

Submitted by touchdown chad henne on

Guys,

Time to let the cat out of the bag—I write for Bleacher Report, have for some time, and will continue to do so in the future. I'm an officially unofficial "sportswriting intern", which means I get paid, but also have to write some articles on assignment that I don't exactly agree with or enjoy. Guess that's the nature of the biz right now.

Just wanted to point you all to my article on the Michigan allegations.

I hope I don't end up with egg on my face for what I say. And it is, to some extent, a stream-of-consciousness rant (albeit with some editing after the fact). But I think it has our best interests at heart.

Peace,

BK

Hey Brian, I liked the article as well as the many articles you've written over there. You are one of the few voices of reason over there. I really enjoyed BR at first, but now it seems like it's just troll fodder.

RR must be fired. He broke the rules and has made michigan look bad. I think this is the final nail in the coffin. He has brought negativity from day 1 to the football program. He needs to be fired and we need to move on. We deserve a better coach and a better person. I wish brandon would have disposed of RR today so we could have started looking for a new coach. RR has disrespected every player and coach who has ever been involed with the team. If Bo was alive he would be so mad that his team, michigan has major violations.

wow, the copy and paste method of ranting, where you literally copy and paste the same text into several threads which are related to your rant in varying degrees. nice.

here's a tip: ctrl+c and ctrl+v are faster.

Thanks, guys, for the kind words. I had serious hesitations about posting the article here and inviting all the (justified) criticism of B/R and of the people who work there.

I hear those criticisms, and I've emphasized to my bosses that now that we've broken into the market, we need to turn our attention to getting better with our quality and editing. But in a lot of ways, they're still too obsessed with pageviews.

Anyhow, Go Blue.

You have to eat a lot of crap to make it in the media world.

You are better than some, hopefully your career goes well and you can start writing what you believe in.
