Submitted by SpreadGuru on

Does anyone have the time of his announcement?  I think he's going Blue.

[ED:BISB - According to Allen Trieu, Diamond is announcing at 7:00 Central/8:00 Eastern:

TomVH said in the insider forum that he has two "rock solid" sources giving conflicting information.  Even Tom is confused, but we are not out of it according to him.

If Kozan is concerned about depth charts, then we're better off with Diamond going to Auburn than Arkansas.  I know that Kozan and Diamond don't project to the same position, but guys move around the OL quite a bit (e.g., maybe if Diamond comes to Michigan and plays OT then Bars moves to OG, creating competition for Kozan, forcing him to C or a playing time battle at OG ... ).
It'd be better to have Diamond clog up the Auburn depth chart than to head to Arkansas.

Hemboldt just tweeted about the Diamond decision, with the following Hash tags following:  #Arkansas #Auburn #Michigan #Wisconsin

I thought the Baaaydgers were out of the running a long time ago?

There's no indication whatsoever right now that he's coming to Michigan. If he does commit to UM, then it's like an unexpected and very late Christmas present.

I think I'd rather have Kozan at this point, but I'm not optimistic about that happening either.

Diamond is most likely not coming here...people should not get their hopes up.

As for Kozan, I know insiders are saying our chances are improving...but if Diamond goes to Arkansas instead of Auburn, wouldn't be surprised to see Kozan go to Auburn.

I'm pulling for Kozan to go blue. Colorado is known for OL, this year alone I think we had 4, 4* lineman that went to Ohio, Auburn, Nebraska and wherever Kozan goes.

The state is growing and the football is good, it would be nice to start pipeline.

[ED:BISB- Accusations of impropriety by kids have to be much better sourced than "I know a guy who knows a guy."]

Where the hell did all the insider pessimism come from? Just a few days ago when all the experts online were making their predictions, Diamond to Michigan was a pretty uniform pick.

They also said Garnett to Stanford even though all the tea leaves said us and they got it right. If Diamond to Michigan doesn't happen it is going to SUCK.

Between making their kids hold off on making public commitments to further expose more of their kids and making them wait until after 99% of other players sign to have a prime time Friday night shindig for them to announce, JD's high school cracks me up. Not judging or questioning them but I just don't know if I've ever heard of a high school get so into going against common norms like that. Maybe their kids can silently commit but it doesn't make sense to me that someone may potentially lose a spot at their dream school over unique school policies. Regardless, we have a spot for him though so hopefully he goes blue! Ya never know.
