I like this sequence a lot, but I think he's one of those kids where his recruitment will be based entirely on whether he gets his Ohio offer or not. He's someone they will offer if they miss out on their top options and if he doesn't feel slighted by being second tier (for them, not us) he will commit if he gets an offer. Great to see him letting us creepy into his mind though.

My comment from yesterday about Butt:
I know he says he wants to take his time, but I for one would hardly be shocked if he commited within the next few days. He absolutely loves the coaches and the school, and now his family does too. I think pretty soon he'll see he doesn't really have a reason to prolong his recruitment.

The comments yesterday about how stoked his dad was told me the same thing. I think this is the Hoke difference. It's not going to work with every kid or every family, but it will work for the right ones.
Tom VH's series interviewing the parents of 2012 recruits might be the best gift a writer has ever given to a program's recruiting. You know that parents will be doing as much or more research than the recuits themselves. I can only imagine if it was my kid, the feelings of other parents about the program and the staff would carry a lot of weight.
