Wooo HOOOOO!!! KINSLER!!!
U - N ---"D"--- F - E - A - T - E - D ???
First, Gonzalez and now Kinsler. Welcome aboard, new Tigers!
And still undefeated in 2014!
Outstanding, these close games really start to add up around August/September. Glad we could take a couple to start the season.
...against division rivals.
We had this one all the way. No worries, guys. :-)
3) Austin Jackson. Double and walk, walk led to game-winning run.
2) Max Scherzer. pitched 8 shutout innings of brilliant 4-hit 7-K baseball
1) Ian Kinsler. Solo HR in the 4th, Walk-off RBI single in the 10th.
1a) MLB Instant Replay. 2 for 2 in favor of the Tigers and Manager Brad Ausmus today.
and his controversial off-season moves are looking good so far. Except for Joe Nathan's shaky 9th today, the moves have worked in favor of the Tigers.
^^^Edit to my previous post above: I forgot to mention that Kinsler had a total of 3 hits. That last one was scored a single, but in all other situations, would have been at least a double, as it easily got thru the gap all the way to the left-center wall.
And kudos to Brad Ausmus and his batting order magic. That idea of putting Austin Jackson 5th/6th in the order? I love it. Allows Jackson to be more aggressive with his swing.
