he is when he doesn't have a monopoly on a great football state like Loiusiana. Almost all of his current class is from LA, with a few TX and MS sprinkled in.
Is he a great coach without great players from LA?

you raise a good point, but i think he would recruit just fine at michigan. he's won alot and he's a big name put him at michigan and i think plenty of recruits would flock here.

Russell Shepard is from Texas!
LSU has a few pro prospects, and while Drake Nevis is from LA
Kelvin Sheppard is from Georgia
Patrick Peterson is from Florida
Joseph Barksdale is from Detroit, Michigan
So not all of their talent is from Louisiana.
EDIT: look at past classes, he recruits Texas and Florida very well.
