chance of bowl: 13.6%
5 million a year for 5 years... if this is true Les got paid!
I wanted Chucky but, like I said, I'll support however our coach is 100%
where that's the full staff payment and he's getting over 4
The whole TD forum is berating him for not posting a source ... and now we're going to too.
To false rumors!
You want it.
Will wait until it's actually confirmed but if true, thank God it's over. Miles wasn't my first or second or third choice (etc.) but he puts up wins and recruits like mad. Just want this to be over at this point.
That should have made him one of our first choices. I know he's a loon and he can't clock manage, but I look forward to yelling about how 10 win seasons are UNACCEPTABLE!
UNACCEPTABLE RABBLE RABBLE
How crazy is it to think we used to think 8-9 wins wasn't getting it done? When you think this, you know you're a spoiled fanbase.
If it's Miles, we need a grad assistant whose only job is clock management.
I need to go back to being a productive member of society. I so hope thisi is finally it.
But the closer this comes to being a reality, the more I want it to happen and the more I think about those. 60+ wins in 6 years, and the less I'm bothered about the oversigning yaddayadda. I feel dirty, but I don't care...
Alright! It's a done deal!
Who is gonna make the "Hello: Les Miles" post?
I think most will miss your sarcasm, But I did enjoy it +http 403 to you sir!
why don't you make it slappy?
You want to play the role of Fox News last week?
To be fair, it wasn't "Fox News", but rather the news at a local Fox station. They are kind of two different things...
They both suck
Thank you for sharing your opinion...
True, but they pool resources (I have worked at two FOX affiliates in the newsroom). In fact, FOX, the corporation, actually owns the Detroit affiliate (which is not always the case; most local affiliates are owned by a different entity than the network).
Thank you for providing some actual information!
Go DUCKS ....!
Please be true!
I've never seen anything else quite like it.
it really is.........a wonder.....isn't it?
that was mad funny..seen your comment, and had to double take...cant stop laughing
you must have stayed at a holiday inn express last night
dude I just threw up in my mouth a little over that pic
When the webline posted has the word "rant" in it the accuracy of information it contains is questionable at best
cletus down at the bait shop sez "he's gawn!"
[i'll wait for a real source]
Why wait for confirmation when we can simply proceed as its a done deal liike aaamichfan states above? Its much more fun to assume. It feels like we're rolling the dice with our emotions and if it turns out to be true we'll feel even more exhilarated about it. Of course, on the flip side, if its untrue, well, that would suck. Anyone up for some gambling with our emotions?
But I'm already doing this about Jon Gruden. Too late to switch now.
Keep hope alive!
haha Im with you. I want Gruden but I'll be content with Miles. Dude is a winner, and a great recruiter. Sure, he does some strange things, but if hired, Im sure he will give us mgobloggers plenty of things to write about. Hopefully good things.
I'm going to eat grass in honor of the occasion. And eating grass makes me vomit.
I'm gonna smoke grass in honor of the occasion.
Looking forward to many years of grass jokes!
we gotz field turf....that might throw him off his game!
All the grass here in Michigan is frozen so dude will have to mao some snow.
Then there is at least one thing you and my cat have in common.
Let's hope it's true and Les can make some magic happen with some of these recruits after the dead period.
after the dead period riiiiggghhhttt "after". Kidding I hope it's true if for no other reason than we can put a face back on the sideline.
I can't help but feel "meh" about Leslie. Not nearly as excited as I was 3 years ago, but seeing how that turned out, with LM we'll probably be playing for the MNC within 3 years.
you're right he only just obliterated a team in the cotton bowl.... nothin really to be excited about.
Yeah, previous record was exactly why I was pumped about RR. Except RR wasn't almost 60, didn't have a reputation of questionable play calling, clock management, and recruiting.
All I'm saying is, I don't know what to think. And I don't think its at all unreasonable to have some misgivings about LM despite all the plusses. I'm not too pissed, but not too excited either. Just, "meh".
Except RR wasn't almost 60, didn't have a reputation of questionable play calling, clock management, and recruiting.
RR was younger, but the others certainly applied. WVU fans were appalled at his game management in that Pitt disaster. And there was a lot of fear on Michigan boards that he'd recruit a bunch of Pacman Joneses.
But in regard to past history, averaging 10 wins a year in the SEC > averaging 10 a year in the Big East.
and while his defenses at LSU have been good, the offense there sucks, particularly this year (92nd). Let's hope he brings with him some better ideas on offense. Though RRod is gone, I still think some concepts of the spread should be retained with the new coach.
Then how is it that LSU has a shitty offense but runs wild in a BCS bowl and beats the Bama D but we have a great offense that does nothing against OSU and Miss State?
...in the bowl as he did all year. In the regular season, he had 4 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, but 3 touchdowns and 1 interception in the bowl
In other words, I have no idea.
