Ticket prices for Saturday are falling

Submitted by Go Blue Eyes on

The repercussions of MSU winning this past Saturday in Columbus have seriously effected prices for The Game on Saturday.  Last week tickets in Section 23 were mostly above $700/each.  Earlier this morning they were starting at $325/each.  I just checked again and you can get some really good seats in Section 23, row 43 for $280 (I am not selling them BTW).

Of course this still beats last year's game against Maryland when I saw seats as low as $37/each in Section 23.  We will never see that price again (Harbaugh) but the prices for this weekend are coming down to almost face value (seat + PSL).

MLive had a story yesterday on this that almost seems out of date today:

Even their own fans dont want to watch.  I'm sorry - can anybody here imagine back in 1997, when with everything on the line against OSU, going "eh....not sure I want to attend or not."

I'm sorry - this is why they will ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS sit in the back seat of our car and ask "are we there yet" when it comes to football.

This is good. Sounds like a lot of Buckeye's who bought tickets in Septermber are probably selling them back now. Hopefully were completely done with having OSU fans to fill 25% of our stadium.

Like their team doesn't need to win this game in order to have a shot at the BIG championship game, and possibly getting back into playoff contention? So they are just stamping their collective feet, and deciding not to support their team on gameday because they are not undefeated?

Oh well I guess.. Maybe I will actually be able to afford to go to the game this year now.

The Sparty loss knocked them on their ass.  Their heads are NOT in this game at all.

If things start to go against them in the game, they will absolutely implode.

It's strange because they are in the exact same position we are, and we are pumped for this game.  It's all about expectations i guess.

$148 the get-in price for a single on Stubhub right now. Two together is $160 each.

Now I'm going to get in trouble for maybe skipping my Grandma's 90th birthday party.

still too expensive for us, since it involves a hotel, gas, and an 8 hour drive each way. we'll also be in/around nyc to be with family, and i kinda think they'd be upset if we suddenly cancelled plans to go to The Game. :/

we'll be there in spirit from a michigan bar in nyc!

I'll be surprised if they have more than 70K in the house. Apparently they don't remember the decades of irrelevance and don't want to live in the moment. Pathetic Hopefully M fans can get some of those tickets back from the buckeye sell off. Wish I could be one, but I can't get out of work
