Mississippi State cancelled all classes on Thursday to accommodate a "major athletic event" as the No. 25 Bulldogs host the No. 3 Louisiana State Tigers in a Southeastern Conference football game, the university said.
Thursday Night SEC Open Thread
Wouldn't it have been better to cancel classes on Friday? My guess is that most students won't make it anyway.
Has this game been as dreadfully dull as the box score would seem to indicate?
Constant injuries and penalties, so yes
I'm late to the thread but MSU students in costumes have made me LOL on three occasions tonight
-MSUblock text mask
-Pom-Pom man after the fg that tied it 6-6
Wait, you're supposed to kick it between the posts?
So...why was that punt a touchback?
Ball crossed the plane of the goal line. One of those places where the college and NFL rules differ.
I think the main thing thats lead to the SEC's success is the defensive line. It's very tough for teams to move when the two deep on the d line for LSU and company is better than most schools starters.
Theres a 5A School in Louisiana, West Monroe, their d line a few seasons ago averaged around 315 lbs. But all around high school football in Louisiana is amazing and they have that state locked down. Heres some Louisiana football players:
just to name a few
At 30 with 35 seconds left concede without trying to get a quick score and onside kick?
Did I just see that?
Hell Denard would have called that situation "too easy" and spotted LSU another TD.
