Boring night here at the justingoblue-cave; megangoblue is gone and I'm left to my own devices, which currently means Soprano reruns, frozen pizza and some Tanqueray. With no Wings, no MBB or hockey, I'm assuming I'm not the only person sitting around bored tonight. What's everyone else up to?
Thursday Night Open Thread
Not much my friend. Drinking some Coors Light and watching Party Down on Netflix. Great show.
Are we having fun yet?!
Is this a good thread to ask about Kozan, Diggs, etc.?
It's an open thread, so it's good for whatever. IIRC, Digg's decides tomorrow night from a list that doesn't include M, and...I have no idea about Kozan, though.
I was joking but thanks for the update.
I'll blame it on either Tony Soprano, the pizza or the gin. Anything works for me, so you just decide which is more realistic.
Don't remember names though.
Taxicab Confessions on HBO, always interesting and strange.
Copious amounts of Spanish 232 homework. Just a few more months and I'm done with the foreign language requirement.
Just finished my 232 homework. Can't wait to be done with this damn language requirement.
Pizza, Soprano's reruns (best written show of all time IMO) and a good drink. thats a great night! but i am old with small children so maybe im just beaten down....
I probably should appreciate nights like this more, but I do envy the people at the bar down the street drinking overpriced beer and sweating in an overcrowded room.
Maybe they're angry about your slur on Bud, PBR and other quality American domestics. [drinks directly from beer pitcher]
If that's the case, I'll have to correct myself. Twenty-five cent Miller Lights, so they were in no way overpriced. By the way, megangoblue is taking some music appreciation class for gened requirements, and I tell her to ask you every time she doesn't know. She just laughs, though...
I haven't given anything (or anyone) an automatic +1 or -1, but I'm gonna go ahead and institute an auto +1 policy for all things Omar.
Thank you kindly sir. It was also my point to contend that The Wire is the best written show of all time but I digress.
Up with my 6 week old who got a cold from his 5 year old sister. Drinking some awesome brews that I have acquired through beer trading and putzing around on the internet. Looking forward to another early morning at the office, yeah tax season!!
Getting geared up for a coaching clinic in Novi tomorrow. Hopefully there isn't any lilttle brother drama at this one...
Just got back from Ashley's and now I'm watching OKC. Westbrook is tearing it up.
Yeah, I had to rewind on the 'ole DVR to watch his dunk a few times. I live in OKC actually. Unfortuately, I haven't been able to go to any games this year yet. Love me some Thunder.
I just returned from a coaches clinic in Novi and listened to MSU LB coach Mike Tressel talk about the 4-3 and their blitz package. I'm telling you....I'm impressed with how well coached the State D is. They have simple philosophies and rules and the players they recruit know them well. They're gonna be tough to beat. They are fundamentally sound. They attack the line of scrimmage and they take their responsibilities seriously.
After watching a bunch of clips (which included a heavy dose of plays from the Michigan game), I can almost understand why Borges tried to throw the ball so much. Their front 7 is stout. I assume Borges knew that and felt like he had to loosen them up.
They're a gap control D and use the safeties in a unique way.
We'll have our hands full again this season. Make no mistake about that.
Finished all my homework so now watching Baseball IQ on my DVR. Great show for baseball fans.
1317 wilmot party here third eye blind and whisky
police earlier. But pretty much hookah and NHL 12 tonight.
Sitting here, on extremely extended vacation in Michigan from California (which means helping my mom on the farm). Drinking copious amounts of red wine and working on a new song. Pretty much the Michigan Difference personified.
With a decent pair of headphones. More work tomorrow, more e-mails to write, the usual.
I'm at home with my GIRLFRIEND. My GIRLFRIEND and I are just watching some movies. Isn't having a GIRLFRIEND so awesome? Man, I just love having a... oh who am I kidding?
At 3:07 PM, my auto-refresh loaded Brian's 80 lb. trophy onto my screen.
At 3:07:12 PM, my hipster employee interrupted my stunned, silent, happy place with: "She's hot. Have you seen The Video?"
Having been cold-busted violating my own rules, I reminded him that we shouldn't be distracting ourselves with the internet, but if The Video wasn't indecent, well...let's take a look.
I can't look away long enough to figure out how to embed, so here it is--it's Ms. Upton, which hopefully gives it the SFW benefit of the doubt (if not, i wish you buenas noches from Bolivian. . .where the internet hopefully supports youtube).
Check out my blog! Don't. It's not good, yet. I'll figure the ol' interwebs out some day. Until then, blog that sucks that you click and go to out of pity. It sucks, but I think I'm funny and I want you to think so as well. /shameless advertisement /fuck hashtags, where I come from that's a pound sign
There are a bunch of big names visiting this weekend. Some posters on the 247Wolverine message board are speculating that we might get a commit or two this weekend. Specifically from Chris Fox (high 4 star o-line) and Jaron Dukes (not ranked but probably low 4 star wr).
Spent part of Thursday nite at a watering hole in GR for happy hour, then the remainder watching college hoops and reading UM memes.
