I have no idea what GT was doing there.  If you are going for it, just go for it.  Don't try to hold your linemen waiting for another offsides.

Good game so far. IF the Jackets can pull this off, the Coastal Race is officially ON for the rest of November

But, Taylor has picked up his game the last couple possessions, so here come the Hokies

And a very dumb decision by the GT defensive back to run it out from the endzone, and then half-assedly go out of bounds at the 7 yard line.  If you're going to run it out like that, you had better damn well get to the 20.

It's always weird to me when the overwhelming favorite at home have it's fans run on the field after beating another team. You never see Michigan fans storming the Big House field after a win over an unranked Minnesota team. Act like you've been there before, Va Tech.

Just got off the friend with a friend who was at the game in the south end zone. Apparently no one was planning to do anything like rush the field until an ESPN producer or someone else in authority had the ground crew open the stairs so students could go onto the field. What he saw was a guy with an ESPN jacket, followed by a camera crew, talking with the stadium security then waving his arms and shouting for the students to go onto the field.

Watching the game from a bar, I thought the whole rushing the field thing was kind of strange, too.

Yes, I noted the same thing. When I was an undergraduate at VT we only rushed the field once, and that was when Miami lost and VT ended Miami's huge winning streak they had going.

I've been to a lot of close VT games and back then we didn't get out on the field, now it happens all the time now. It's not just VT, Oregon rushed the field against Stanford and Oregon was favored.

How sad was it to watch GT have better athletes on D than UM? wtf.  They have a first year DC, Al Grohl how used to be the Headcoach at Virginia.  I thought their D played pretty well for having a brand new coach and scheme.  Again wtf.
