So, here is the slate for tonight:

Iowa State vs. Texas - 7:30 PM on ESPN

Western Kentucky vs. LA-Monroe - 7:30 PM on ESPNU

For the two or three people who might want some Pac-12 action:

UCLA vs. Utah - 10 PM on Fox Sports 1

and saying Texas has already looked better. They lost by 20 to Ole Miss at home and beat a hapless KState team by 10.

However, it will be our luck that Gerg somehow makes them into a top 20 unit

A good friend of mine is a Utah alum so I've watched a few games with him. Utah is pretty decent and has a good QB (Travis Wilson). UCLA will likely win, but I don't think it'll be a blowout by any means. Plus it's in Salt Lake City so you've got the Thursday night upset factor going

Go Utes.  The Utes are tough at home.

Also, go Cyclones...please drop 60 on GERG's D.  Score however many points are necessary to generate an appearance from a stuffed beaver.

I turned on the TV and thought Iowa State was USC. Those uniforms are uncannily similar. Double stripe on the shoulder instead of single, and obviously no Trojan on the helmet, but other than that they're identical.

Looks like the GERGening is underway. Iowa State drove for a score on their last possession and has gone from their own 7 to 1st down at Texas' 12 yard-line on this one.

...or does the Texas D-line look like they are loafing when ISU gets to the second level? No backside pursuit. I know they're big, but also lazy or tired already.

Great college game right now and of course, I'm watching my Cleveland Browns. I never thought I'd be cheering for a freaking Sparty.

EDIT: and of course, Hoyer gets injured.

Not a good finaly minute of the half there for the 'Clones.  Dropped pass probably cost them 4 pts then gave up a junk TD. Decent Half overall though.

The one thing that is fairly evident so far - Aaron Wimberly is not getting the most mileage out of his carries, but he definitely is the rusher of choice for the Cyclones.

Don't forget about DII Harding at Southern Arkansas on CBS Sports Network!  It is Harding's first ever time on National Television!  My AP Chem teacher's son plays for Harding and was wearing his Harding Bison shirt today.

Now that Iowa State increased their offensive yards by about 30% on one TD run, we see again the typical problem that you have within Greg Robinson defenses where you sell out against the nothing on an obvious something play and promptly get burned.

That hit by Davis was awful.  Aiming for the knee of a player way outside the play, after the play was done is inexcusible.  Should've been an ejection, considering (IMO) it was worse than any targeting ejection this season.
