This Bob Stitt stuff is really cute.

The forced comparisons with Beilein, less so.

Countdown to Bolivia (or Brandon getting fired this week) continues......
October 16th, 2014 at 10:25 PM ^
But...but they both kinda look alike, and they are both "smart" guys who know the game. Ignore the fact that Beilein won for years in a very competitive Power 5 conference for years before the came to UM.

John L Smith is the head coach at Fort Lewis.
October 16th, 2014 at 8:30 PM ^
Formerly known as John LLLLLLL?
October 16th, 2014 at 8:22 PM ^
Bob Stitt is fun to talk about, but that's about it.
October 17th, 2014 at 12:49 AM ^
There's no way he becomes the next head coach at UM. OC, maybe? Head Coach, no.
October 16th, 2014 at 8:26 PM ^
Damn, Stitt's an old riverboat gambler, huh? That was an awesome 4th down conversion.

Virginia Tech, in a move which will shock no one, successfully manages a field goal to cut their deficit to 7-3 in the second quarter. This is everything you had hoped that a Pitt - VTech matchup would be, if indeed you are watching it.
October 16th, 2014 at 8:54 PM ^
May still be more entertaining than the game Saturday night sadly.
October 16th, 2014 at 8:36 PM ^
What the hell is John L wearing around his neck?
October 16th, 2014 at 8:44 PM ^
that game over nyj vs. pats i question your sanity
October 16th, 2014 at 8:44 PM ^
Oh my Lorddddd....a catch-fumble-recovery (but out of bounds) in the Pitt-Va Tech game. ..no where near the catch Funchess had 2 weeks ago. Football rules and consistency suck ass.
October 16th, 2014 at 8:45 PM ^
Why is Fort Lewis' coach wearing a lei?
October 16th, 2014 at 9:25 PM ^
He needed to get lei'd

It boggles my mind that Ray Vinopal is all over the field against VT. It's like watching Furman tear it up at OSU. How bad has our player progression been?
October 16th, 2014 at 10:07 PM ^
I think a better term is "how bad has our coaching been?"
If Charles Woodson had these coaches when he was here he'd be laboring in some soulless sales position right now.
October 17th, 2014 at 9:26 AM ^
I sometimes wonder if the current coaches are a little too protective of the players and handcuff them and not allow them to play all out. It's almost like they tell them to play hard, but only to a certain point.
October 16th, 2014 at 8:49 PM ^
this stitt offense is the shit...
by the way, how in the name of God did ohio state lost the VT...?
October 16th, 2014 at 10:44 PM ^
I'm thinking the same thing regarding OSU vs VT. VT is terrible.
October 16th, 2014 at 9:16 PM ^
Pro-level FG kickers everybody.

Brady looks sharp tonight.

- MICHIGAN MAN? Check
- Terrible offense? Check
- Probably incompetent? Check
Why even form a search committee? Just offer him the job

This game needs more Edelman. Way more.
October 16th, 2014 at 10:14 PM ^
Says someone who has Edelman on his fantasy team.

2:30 to go down 5
Huge pinch hit HR to tie game for SF too

It reminds me of Baylor. He spreads the field and makes you decide whether you want to cover the middle of the field and leave the wideouts in single coverage, or give help to the DBs outside and make yourself vulnerable to the run game. It's such a simple concept. It bothers me when Michigan brings the wideouts near the tight ends and puts all 11 players in the center of the field. The defense has more players near the ball and it forces all 9 blockers to execute (against 11 defenders) versus just the 5 interior linemen against 5 defenders. It's much easier to get 5 good blocks than 9.
October 17th, 2014 at 8:33 AM ^
But but but, it's not the Michigan way! It should be POWAR FOOTBAW!!! Line up in the I or Ace and run right at them even though they know exactly what's coming and just out-execute them because dammit, that's the way it's been from the beginning of time and that's the way it has to remain! Rabble rabble rabble!
October 17th, 2014 at 10:02 AM ^
Exactly, although that is technically the "spread" you can still power run out of that. The spread does not always equal basketball on grass.

Vinopol with big hit on 4th down.
October 16th, 2014 at 11:19 PM ^
I love how Rex Ryan just burned 5 minutes of clock down 8 points with 7 minutes left. Wow that guy is stupid.
