Greg Jennings is out. Adjust accordingly
well that's just, like, your opinion, man
Greg Jennings is out. Adjust accordingly
He's fine. go ahead and start him.
I can't decide if I like that segment or hate it.
As a Packers fan i am pleased. As a fan of being reminded some conferences suck more than the B1G, I will miss you Rutgers and USF
What does it cost?
I'm streaming it right now on thefirstrow.eu. Works pretty well actually.
Rutgers look very Buck Rodgers in the chrome helmets with the red stripe.
It's too bad Pollack had to have a career ending injury and that Palmer couldn't have made a career out of reality television because I hate listening to them.
I watched the first quarter of USF-Rutgers and it dawned on me that some offenses try to take it to the house, but B.J. Daniels so far is more along the lines of "If I can just get it to the 30 or so and Bonani can kick it from there..."
The Cee Lo number was abominable.
It might not be top notch football, but it beats a MAC game on Thursday night.
Has anyone seen the new John Clayton Sports Center commercial? I still don't know how to embed video with the new site so here is the link.
THAT was awesome. Thanks for the link.
I know it's not the point, but I automatically upvote any and all Slayer reference.
That is just great.
Laughing out loud
Saw it a few days ago, hands down the greatest SC commercial ever. I watched it like 5 times the first day I saw it.
Steiner's Y2K commercial is my favorite. I realize many of you were barely sentient back then, but Y2K was a big deal, at least in anticipation.
I thought that was hilarious. Clayton is showing some impressive range there. :)

IMO too many of those Sports Center commercials are like modern-day Doonesbury comics. You can see the humor, but they're just not that good.
Im amazed at how much I think I know from playing video games.
Like, why the fuck is Mike Tice calling play action against heavy blitzes when the Bears haven't established the run yet?
Rutgers had USF at 2nd and 29 thanks to USF trying to set a record for longest 1st down ever, and the Rutgers secondary chooses that moment to develop hysterical blindness. Awesome.
USF is a dirty program and Rutgers is in New Jersey . . . Seems almost like an ND/MSU Asteroid rooting game. I'm going to hold my nose & say "Go Chrome-Domes"!
Snookie approves of this message.
I might be wrong, but Rutgers probably used that last TO to discuss the idea that the FG strategy might be an awesome strategy and they should perhaps attempt to mimic it.
Looks like I may have jumped the gun with Cobb starting him this week in FFB. He hasn't had a single ball thrown his way this game (nor been on the field much). My league rewards return yards a bit, so there is that hope...
He injured his shoulder (possibly dislocated according to my doctorwife)
Nah he has still been returning kicks and just got his first catch. They just havent been using him as much as last week in the passing game. Looked like he just had a minor stinger to me from his body language (and from playing football) and from the fact he has been playing.
EDIT: And there he goes with the long run too! Like that reverse jinx I pulled there?
The team doctor was testing his shoulder on the sideline after he took a hit to the shoulder. He probably just hit it really hard but he was being tested for a dislocated shoulder (which is why they were testing the shoulder). Obviously he is fine, obviously the test was negative. just passing along the info.
You shut your mouth when you talk bad about CFB!!!
The Bears OL looks.....bad.
It looks like the Bears went the Millen route. Signe skill players, don't address the OL, and use an OL coach as your OC. Brilliance.
Was the highlight of this game.
Yeah. Just perfect execution. Wow
just throw the jump ball fade, or throw it short. Why is that so hard?
I think that's why.
Alright, I know I am among people with CFB problems. Be honest, who else here has been peaking at the Mississippi Valley State and Southern University game too?
Maybe a few years ago.
Well, um...errr I didn't say I was checking. I-I-I was just curious if anyone else was and could tell me the score.
I would watch every ncaa game I could. All day Saturday, the Thursday games-- all of them. Now I'm just old and tired.
is the nfl game on in metro Detroit?
I guess I'll just stick with Rutgers USF.
This just in: Clay Matthews flow<Jake Ryan's flow
I just came in. WTF is Brandon Marshall not earning me any points?
because Jamarcus Webb may as well be a statue
This is funny because I have Green Bay's D :)
Shhh, my oponent has Matt Forte...
That USF fan face-palm was spectacular.
We would have been much more screwed.
Surely, Marshall. Thou hast been shizzing me.
Did you see that touchdown drop he had? my roomate, a bears fan and brandon marshall fantasy owner, was super extra pissed about that while I cackled in glee.
Im completely against changing our helmet but I was thinking how sweet would a chrome maize and blue helmet just for one game would be. I guess it would kind of be a shiny metallic maize and blue. Want to hear your thoughts?
no, thank you.
I think if we still had real neg bombs you'd be visiting beautiful downtown La Paz right now.
This game is awful.
First of many times that Marshall will let down Bears fans this season. No doubt the dude is talented but he drops too many balls, is a liability off the field and just doesn't seem to keep focus in close games. Makes me warm inside seeing that dropped pass after so many Bears fans acted like Marshall + Cutler = Super Bowl this off-season.
I was also confused at the hype since in cutler was with marshall in denver for 4 years I believe and I dont think they ever had a winning season.
has to be licking their chops because Bears and Packers OL are terrible.
Roughly 100% of Bears passing plays have involved either a false start, a missed block, or an interception.
Woodson INT brings a tear to the eye.
Woodson! Make the #2 a legends jersey already!
Heres a question: is Charles Woodson's college+pro career the greatest of any Wolverine?
If it is simply a summation of both college and pro, I'd probably give the nod to Brady based on his pro career alone. If it was a 50/50 weighted percentage, then yes, I'd say Woodson is the best ever.
I was thinking more of a summation. I think Woodson's pro career is on par with Brady's excluding the fact Brady has two more rings. But the heisman kind of makes up for that... It is a very close call.
I'd say yes. The only person who you could maaaybe debate would be Brady, but it would be really hard. Do superbowls trump a heisman?
when he was 33 years old, playing a position that values the kind of athleticism that tends to fade after your 20s. I really think you could make an argument that Woodson is one of the best defensive players of all time.
but best defensive players of all time? I dunno about it. He didn't do well at Oakland for a few years....
He was invisible in Oakland, QB's never threw his way.
Charles in charge
Stumbling over his words, that ref was.
puts him past two Hall of Famers, Willie Brown and Darrell Green, as well as Eric Allen. What a great player.
(Paul Krause is the all-time INT lieader, with 81 INTs over 16 years!)
Woodson would not have fumbled that
Boy with the new kickoff rule Devin Hester is basically useless.
NFL field goal kickers, man.
Skip Holtz is stealing money. Pro tip: Catch the kickoff.
You could say that about the entire Big East.
Gotta respect Donald Driver.
Good luck GB defensive backs?
Charles Woodson would have caught that
Can somebody remind me why Jay Cutler gets so much love from the media et all? He's basically Kevin Kolb...
Seriously, he had one really good year for Denver, and has been so-so since then. These anouncers keep acting like he is a top 5 QB.... Far from it.
Still waiting for Woodson to get his revenge.
the President does:
Matthews tore it up.
Aaron Rogers is an amazing quarterback, but it looks like he won't be winning the MVP this season. The offense just isn't as potent as last year.
Didn't suit up. Different offense if he's healthy.
Agreed that it's a totally different offense, but Rodgers hasn't exactly been impressive. It's two games though. If he puts up big numbers and guys like Brady, Brees, and Manning (the non-retarded one? I'll let you figure out who that is*) struggle, then he definitely has a chance at the MVP. It's kind of way too early to be talking about that though, right?
with Jennings healthy. 49ers defense may be the best in the league along with Seattle Seahawks(surprise!!!).
Figures I drop the Packers defense and they score 21 points...
my opponent has Aaron Rodgers this week. I have Mason Crosby. He first picked Rodgers, I picked up Crosby in the second-to-last round of the draft. What a kick in the nuts.
I am 100% confident Brady nets me more than Rodgers' 10 points on the Patriot's opening drive.
