Thursday Night CFB Open Thread - FSU at UNC

Submitted by Raback Omaba on

I've always wanted to start one of these......

14-3 UNC near the end of the first quarter.......

Looks like things are about to get uglier down in Tally.

I'm wondering why FSU fans are calling for Bobby Bowden to step down so the Jimbo Fisher era can begin.

Why would the Seminoles be any better under Jimbo? He's already the offensive coordinator and assistant head coach and plays a large part in the direction of the team.

I don't know if Jimbo taking over and hiring his own staff would solidify the program or not, but right now they need something. I don't think they're a top 25 team, but they're also not a 2-4 (soon to be 2-5?) team.

I think this was talked about on Gameday one of the last couple of weeks - they actually said that, while Jimbo is the coach in waiting, Bowden still has a lot of control, including over the rest of the staff (hiring/firing).

I guess the thought is that Jimbo might end up cleaning house with all of the other Bowden hires to bring in his own people (whomever they might be) - could this end up being even worse for FSU?

Just say some FSU dude basically taunting a UNC guy, and even the announcers were saying the dude should look at the scoreboard before doing that crap. Wonder if Jimbo will change that aspect of FSU.

to see the replay of the Creminole take a swipe at the UNC player. They were like, "do you wonder where a guy's head is at when he does something like that." Are these guys actually surprised at behavior like this from an FSU player? They always act this way. Am I wrong here?

I'm generally in the minority among my UVA brethren for this, but I'm loving watching UNC take apart FSU here. I can't think of many teams I hate more or have less respect for than FSU. If Ohio State were playing FSU, I'd probably root for Ohio State.

For some reason, I've wanted FSU to win more and more as this game has gone on. Something to do with not liking UNC in football. Couldn't begin to explain why, but then again, when does college football equal logic?
