When I was a kid I wanted a husky as a pet so bad. Then I had a neighbor who had three huskies, and he used to knock on my door once or twice a month asking me to help him chase one of them around the sub division because he had run through the electric fence and thought it would be funny to play hide and seek. Now I'm perfectly content with my boxer and my great dane who sit on the couch 23 hrs a day.

I know. Cool story. Bro.

Was watching ESPNU and they were breaking down M vs W.  Speight was getting a lot of love and they way they broke down some of Speight's playaction I learned a couple things.  Was pretty enjoyable first time ever from ESPN.

I suppose all that remains is for the AD to officially declare "Habemus Petoritum" (I think that's close to "coach" - my Latin is marginal yet Latin is burned into my memory). I could be wrong, of course.

As for the game, UConn scoring first would be a big thing here - they haven't done so yet in the first quarter this season.

Did anyone just see the score on screen for some reason turn to 6 for UConn right before commercial?! Apparently simply not letting them score and they punt, gets UConn 6 points.

I think Houston still wins...hell, covers.

Their loss at UConn was their only blemish on their 13-1 season last year.

Houston plays at TDECU Stadium; that bizarre acronym stands for Texas Dow Employees Credit Union. Its capacity is only 40,000, which is sort of unbelievable considering the fact that it was opened in 2014 and is located in one of the largest cities in the U.S.

However, even during their tremendous season last year they only managed two sellouts, and the American Conference title game they played there against Temple only drew 35.7K. That might explain the tiny capacity—the planners knew that Houston's fanbase was really small and building a larger venue was just a waste of money.

It highlights one pitch that LSU could make to Herman—come to Baton Rouge and you'll have 100,000+ rabid fans at every home game.

Houston is pretty damn good and all, but I'm getting a little tired of the constant politicking they get from every sports outlet. I guess two tough games and 10 cupcakes doesn't scream playoff worthy to me
