So, anything with a Smurf in it involves a short screen, Batman can dictate run depending on his position on the poster and Spiderman means that Malzahn will gyrate on the sidelines imploring the center judge to spot the ball so "super tempo" can proceeed unabated. I think I am decoding this right.

Hard to know how to root here.... dont want MSU in the playoffs and the more SEC upsets the worse for that scenario (also Oklahoma or Baylor need to get in).  On the other hand I'd love to see the SEC get destroyed in an OOC.

Kansas State's classes:

  • 2013:  66
  • 2012:  59
  • 2011:  69
  • 2010:  63

Easily the coach who does more with less among all peers.

Auburn's rankings? Just take Alabama's and add 4-6 every year.  On paper, Auburn's athletes should make this non competitive.

There is a bit more to it than that. KSU generally takes a lot of JUCO transfers, which allows them to be experienced year in and year out.

The above article is from 2012, but it still is holding true. Looks like this year they took in 7 more JUCOs.

That's not to say that Snyder isn't a good/great coach, just that the recruiting rankings don't tell the whole story.

For the most part, KSU's defense is not making this easy for Auburn - the Tigers are getting a shade under 5 yards per play on average right now. This is the first team they've run into that has some ability to, you know, get in front the play and stop people and take them out of warp, if you will.

As disturbing as that was, imagine morphing someone into Mike Mangino. In another universe, if he were still at Kansas and this happened, we would probably be saying, "Drink until you are neurologically unable to process visual information", although the Weis morph cam disturbingly close.
