Minny v. NW feels like it just doesn't matter.  I guess take NW since they seem to have no chance short of winning the tournament of getting in.

I am working with the game behind several windows and ocassionally pulling it up.  Minnesota is winning after going 10 minutes without a FG!?!?!  And there have been two or three turnovers since I started typing this.  Painful.

Not a Big Ten result, but potential implications for the bubble with UAB losing to East Carolina. Does this drop UAB out completely, given that they were a projected 11 in the Bracket Matrix and ECU is a mediocre team (104 RPI)? Or are they now squarely on the bubble with a 28 RPI before the loss and an 8-6 record vs. the top 100 RPI?

I go to vet school down here, it's not like I'm on vacation.  And I've never heard taking away a man card because I want to watch a basketball game.  But each entitled to their own opinion.

I don't actually think MSU winning helps us.  They are a bubble team and at this point we want as few of them to compete against as possible.  A loss to Iowa knocks them out of the tourney (IMO) and I doubt the committee takes fewer than 5 Big Ten teams.  A Hawkeye win would have me much less worried about tomorrow's outcome.

Iowa's Melsahn Basabe is having a good freshman year overall, but he needs to improve his ballhandling skills . . . a lot.  He enters today with 9 assists and 62 (!) turnovers. I'm pulling for him to reach an even 1:7 assist/turnover ratio.

Pull the ball back out and call a TO! What was Iowa thinking???????

Edit: Did Iowa have any TO's left? Anyways, the coach should have told his players to back it out. UNGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At times I watch Iowa and think, man, they could be really good in the future.  And then other times, I watch Iowa and think, man, they are going to be really, really bad forever.

That postgame interview... he seemed so damned pleased with himself. IOWA! NEUTRAL COURT! YOU STILL SUCK!

Please MSU come out and score like... four tomorrow. Please, Tourney board, leave the Spartans out. Not only do they not deserve to be there, but in a season of Spartan frustration, the tears of 15 year old message board idiots who think MSU just automatically goes will be supreme.

With no assists and three turnovers, he finishes this year with a breaktaking 1:7.2 assist/turnover rate (9 assists, 65 turnovers).  I wonder if that's some kind of a record.

Zack Novak is 6'4", Draymond Green is 6'6". Green scored 7 points against Novak. Melsahn Basabe is 6'7" and Jarryd Cole is 6'7". Green scored 21 points against Basabe and Cole.

The key to beating MSU was to limit easy 2nd chance oppurtunities. For the most part it worked, Iowa failed to box out and get the easy boards so that Draymond and all the other MSU bigs got easy buckets.

Draymond had 6 boards against Novak and the bevy of other defenders rotating to help with 4 of 6 being Offensive rebounds.

Green had 14 boards today against Iowa, who has taller players to defend aginst him. 6 of the 14 were Offensive rebounds.

With Green frustrated on the boards, Michigan caused him to commit 5 fouls knocking him out of the game. He only had 2 against the Hawkeyes.

Anyone else see the easiest way to beat MSU? Limit Green on the boards.
