Thomas Tyner Decommits from Oregon

-Rivals100 RB decommitted from Oregon last night. He is currently second in the entire country in rushing this season.

-How does this affect Michigan? Derrick Green. Oregon is looking for three RB's in the class. Now that Tyner decommitted, they're at one RB. Many believe that they will now pursue Green much harder. Experts do think Oregon has much to do to surpass Michigan and Auburn, but it just got a lot more interesting.

-Tyner didn't mention anything about Michigan. UCLA is a school he definitely wants to visit though, among other California schools.

Plenty of links about this story, but here is one that summarizes nicely: LINK

FWIW out here in Oregon it seems like the Ducks are still the favorites to get him, but he just wants to look around and make sure. Can't really blame him for wanting to make sure. UCLA seems to be the main threat and word is that former Washington QB Marques Tuiasosopo, who is now on the UCLA staff, is the catalyst behind the decommitment. As some of you know, UW and Oregon are bitter rivals, so I'm sure Ducks fans are not thrilled to hear about this for a few reasons.

Why would that kid decommit for Oregon? They make small speedy guys like him look like superstars. Plus there are the bonus elements. Sweel facilities, ridiculous uniforms, 3 wardrobes full of free Nike gear, ect. Plus he can make that O with his hands when he scores a touchdown which is ever so popular nowadays. That being said, hope he goes Blue!

There's too much talk about Blount proving that Oregon is a good system for a power-back. Blount has been benched in the NFL for not being able to block on passing downs and not being able to run simple RB routes to catch the ball out of the backfield. He's quite limited in his capabilities and it's likely due to a lack of proper RB coaching.

Oregon's offense isn't much different from a bunch of other spread/zone read teams'.  Jonathan Stewart was a pretty stout running back, and he had success at Oregon in a slightly different (but not too much) scheme.

Besides, Oregon is giving some run to tight end Colt Lyerla as a running back.  If they can put a tight end at running back and make it work, I think they can put someone like Derrick Green back there.

Tyner is the kids who ran for over 650 yards and 10 touchdowns in one game.  It was hilarious because he did it against my kid's high school's main rival.
