Wow this guys looks like a nice back and also makes some nice catches as well.  He hits the hole hard and looks like he has a good burst (tough to tell against HS competition).  Nice to see we might pick up a quality in-state talent.  Hope he qualifies, too....

"Rawls reports a 2.8 GPA with a 15 ACT".....offers from Central Michigan, Cincinnati, and Toledo.

Am I missing something here? This seems like someone who should be going to play at Northern Illinois or Marshall.

Not to mention WHY AREN'T WE RECRUITING DEFENSE? Not quite sure why we need 15 running backs per class and then we recruit linebackers who weigh less than those running backs do.

Looks like a player and I would love to have him but at the same time I would rather get a defensive player in here on that schollie...no offense to Rawls I'm sure he'll be fine wherever he goes

Keep in mind this is only his second year playing offense.  I like this kid a lot.  He would fit in a spread or pro style.  Yes we do need defense as well...

One question, who Photoshopped Herschel Walker into a Northern High football uniform. Rawls is a straight up BEAST! Dude is off the chain. Hope he gets his act or should I say ACT together.

pretty impressive on the tape. Either everyone they play against sucks, or he has sneaky fast breakaway speed. Very hard runner. I don't think we need another RB, but hey, if there's room, come on down!

I like his ability to smash it up the middle, or take it outside. He seems to see the field, instead of just one player at a time. That's something you can't teach, and a ball carrier's vision is more important than his athletic ability IMHO.

I know everyone is negging the guy who is asking about why our linebackers are so small compared to our RB's, and I think he has a point. We can't keep filling our defense with tiny people if we want to compete in the Big Ten. I think the "smaller, faster" mentalitly works on offense. However, we have seen what a small defense looks like against the likes of MSU, OSU, and Wisc (add Nebraska to that now). We need to beef up our front seven to avoid disasters like this year in the future.

I've seen him play plenty of times, this is the same competition/conference Mark Ingram played his senior year against. He was a straight up beast on the field, he's a good kid and really hope he gets his ACT score up
