Thomas Rawls Highlights 2010

Reminds me a lot of Edwin Baker. I'd love to have a guy like Rawls, perfect pick up!

Wow this guys looks like a nice back and also makes some nice catches as well. He hits the hole hard and looks like he has a good burst (tough to tell against HS competition). Nice to see we might pick up a quality in-state talent. Hope he qualifies, too....

Welcome Thomas!
EDIT: Are there questions on his ability to qualify?
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:34 AM ^
i think his test scores need to go up for him to qualify

Big back, nice moves. Hope he qualifies, because if so he would be a great addition to the backfield.

The kid looks like a total stud! If he qualifies, he could be the real deal! Kind of reminds me of Frank Gore.

"Rawls reports a 2.8 GPA with a 15 ACT".....offers from Central Michigan, Cincinnati, and Toledo.
Am I missing something here? This seems like someone who should be going to play at Northern Illinois or Marshall.
Not to mention WHY AREN'T WE RECRUITING DEFENSE? Not quite sure why we need 15 running backs per class and then we recruit linebackers who weigh less than those running backs do.

go away.

Bang bang. Bang bang.
Generally speaking, you're missing something here, there, and everywhere. So pretty good chance you're missing something here.

Overall he looks pretty good. He needs to learn how to get in and out of his cuts faster, but he hasn't played running back that long.
I could see Wisconsin offering him. He will get some more BCS offers.

Looks like a player and I would love to have him but at the same time I would rather get a defensive player in here on that schollie...no offense to Rawls I'm sure he'll be fine wherever he goes
December 1st, 2010 at 11:54 PM ^
Wow, he looks VERY good. I would prefer not pick up another rb, but if it was him I would be very happy.

... is named Fred Jackson!
If that's not a sign, I don't know what is.
December 2nd, 2010 at 12:25 AM ^
it's actually Fred Jackson's son, so yeah I guess that's a sign
December 2nd, 2010 at 12:42 AM ^
Yeah I'd say that's a pretty good sign
December 2nd, 2010 at 12:23 AM ^
I can only imagine what his high school coach describes him as.
December 2nd, 2010 at 12:28 AM ^
Keep in mind this is only his second year playing offense. I like this kid a lot. He would fit in a spread or pro style. Yes we do need defense as well...
December 2nd, 2010 at 12:40 AM ^
great Michigan back along with Dee (if he qualifies!)

One question, who Photoshopped Herschel Walker into a Northern High football uniform. Rawls is a straight up BEAST! Dude is off the chain. Hope he gets his act or should I say ACT together.
December 2nd, 2010 at 1:54 AM ^
pretty impressive on the tape. Either everyone they play against sucks, or he has sneaky fast breakaway speed. Very hard runner. I don't think we need another RB, but hey, if there's room, come on down!
December 2nd, 2010 at 1:58 AM ^
Reminds me of a faster, smoother Hopkins. I would love for Rawls to be aboard, even if RR or Harbaugh ends up the coach.
December 2nd, 2010 at 3:22 AM ^
Reminds me of Kevin Grady.

I like his ability to smash it up the middle, or take it outside. He seems to see the field, instead of just one player at a time. That's something you can't teach, and a ball carrier's vision is more important than his athletic ability IMHO.
I know everyone is negging the guy who is asking about why our linebackers are so small compared to our RB's, and I think he has a point. We can't keep filling our defense with tiny people if we want to compete in the Big Ten. I think the "smaller, faster" mentalitly works on offense. However, we have seen what a small defense looks like against the likes of MSU, OSU, and Wisc (add Nebraska to that now). We need to beef up our front seven to avoid disasters like this year in the future.

He looks just like when I saw Mark Ingram in high school... We need this kid I promise
December 2nd, 2010 at 8:36 PM ^
I've seen him play plenty of times, this is the same competition/conference Mark Ingram played his senior year against. He was a straight up beast on the field, he's a good kid and really hope he gets his ACT score up
