Thinking Coach Wheatley has too much class
I do know Spurrier recruited a qb to FL and the recruit said his visit consisted of watching Spurrier on tape for over two hours during his Heisman winning season.
Now, of course, I am only joking with this, but I think it would be fun if, say on a Friday, Coach Wheatley just handed a copy of the following to his RBs and said something like: "Now watch this No. 6 run the ball. He was pretty good. Try to duplicate everything you see and when you think you have it down, let me know. "And if one of you actually do, you will be the starter for the entire year."
I am in the minority here. I am one of those old enough to have watched him in high school and at Michigan both. The blend of power and speed he had are just so damn rare it's easy, after not watching him for awhile to forget just how good he was. Enjoy.

That was so much writing just to post a Wheatley highlight vid. Do less.

Teen Wolf disproved this. You can do a lot of things as a Wolfman in the mean time.

like time travel, for example

No you're thinking Chupacabra. Wolf men time travel is a common misconception

This is true but:
1. Never get less than 12 hours of sleep.
2. Never play cards with a guy that's got the same first name as the city.
3. Never go near a lady that's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body.
4. Never start a thread without thinking it through, while not overthinking it.
Stick with that and everything else is cream cheese.
I want you to know I read your message and, I must admit this is odd. Before i read your message, I thought nothing of you. After reading it, I think even less. So I'm guessing you made your point.
Ignore the rabble and carry on.
Number 3 could be worth it - though it would also likley invovle violating rule number 1.
Rules 2 and 4 seem pretty solid.
For the record, I am 100% suppotive of Wheatley highlight videos. No justification needed, just post them.
The video is worth the embed (or is it in bed now???). The OP should have just embedded and left it at that.

What about just cutting together various Michigan players across many different years to make a video to show people wearing maize and blue jerseys winning every game ever.

Gosh that was fun. What memories. Someone that big shouldn't be that fast and that quick. So many bad angles by defenders. He had everything--speed, balance, vision, power.
March 15th, 2016 at 11:59 PM ^
Elite speed makes angles look bad.

Agreed. Watch a replay of any time Jehu Chesson had the ball this year. I'm not sure if he's faster than Manningham was at his prime, but it kinda looks like it.
Manningham wasn't that fast. He was a technician, and very smooth.

I think #6 and Bo Jackson are the best combinations of size and speed that I have seen...and it doesn't help that he had some nasty O lines.

Maybe you're not wrong, but Herschel Walker (6'1", 225 lbs.) and Eric Dickerson (6'3", 220 lbs.) were both pretty outstanding, too. Their highlights are pretty fun to watch.

Herschel was a beast.

I remember Wheatley very well. His combination of size and speed were special.
Remember him breaking some great runs.
March 16th, 2016 at 11:11 AM ^
I just watched his highlights again. Man was he good. We need another RB like him who can take it to the house on any given play.
March 15th, 2016 at 11:57 PM ^
Thanks for posting OP.
Very fun watching that. That speed and power was amaizing to watch.

Get with the program we are currently hurling insults af the OP.
Ask him if he has a dog then make fun of it.
Sorry, I will pay attention next time and make sure that I follow the herd and don't have any thoughts of my own. But I am not sure I can make fun of his dog, I like dogs, not too fond of cats (allergic) - can I see if he has one of those?

Or is it "Hear, hear!"?
Seriously, though, why the fuck all the hating on the OP? Yes, some of Wolfman's posts are a little longer than most, but skip them if you failed to take your meds today. This OP? Well done!
You're absolutely right, GoBlueInIowa, about the herd mentality of those who joined in on an unwarranted attack on Wolfman. Probably the one thing I find most distasteful on this blog.
It is "hear, hear" if you are agreeing with someone.
It is "here, here" if you are calling the OP's dog to make fun of it. However, that is mean, so don't do that.

it's odd who Michigan fans pick as the best back. I know some that think Hart is the best, but Wheatley is hands down to me the best RB and maybe offensive player I've seen at UM
March 16th, 2016 at 12:12 AM ^
I agree, I would rank Wheatley above Hart.
Sent from MGoBlog HD for iPhone & iPad
Hart's ability to persevere through three or four tackles, fighting for every inch was special.
Wheatley didn't get the opportunity to break two often, because if the first didn't get him, there were no seconds in arm's reach. I cannot wait to see what super sized Jr. can do as his father was one of the GOATs to don the maize winged helmet.
Sent from MGoBlog HD for iPhone & iPad
another RB who could insult the instate rival on his way out and didn't gives him the nod to rise above Mike Hart.
Oh yeah, the OP's mother smells of elderberries and his father was a shoe salesman.
Wheatley gets the nod here, but I'm sad that Tony Boles didn't get the chance to really show his stuff. He had the potential to be up there with Wheatley, Hart, and Lytle before his career ending injury.
" . . some that think Hart is the best. ." That would make tWheat his little brother. Indefensible and gratuitous.
March 16th, 2016 at 12:10 AM ^
Good memories. I still can't believe our RB have dropped that much since back then. I watched that video and can't wait until our O Line gets back to that level or even better. It's just a matter of time before the Next Nat Championship and next Heisman Trophy winner is lining up at Michigan.
Wheatley and Woodson are and will always be my 2 favorite wolverines ever
100% agree

Just tweet the link to our current RBs if you think they haven't already seen this clip. (Don't actually do this).
Def old dude
I would like your email and phone number, if possible. What I would like to say to you, and hope I am given the opportunity does not need to be shared by the board, but you need to hear it and you probably shouldn't hesitate.
Thanks, Looking forward to your response.
