Things that Annoy me that Sports Reporters Do

Not even counting the whole, "players on the team are splintered and talking behind his back to the press thing", because I think everyone has identified this as something that's fairly annoying at this point. First off, the whole, "RR's not a Michigan Man/is an outsider" thing. This one is apparently also held by some of our fan-base, but constantly pops up, and always as a credible point, in seemingly every other article written. 1. Bo was from Ohio, Yost from West Virginia, and RR was never a coach under Bo, but his beloved mentor, Don Nelhen, was. 2. I feel dumb, just writing out #1, why, because this is such a ridiculous argument that I feel a little emptier inside just responding to it. The second one that really chafes my willy is that Dantonio is more Bo and Carr-like and is turning State into some traditional powerhouse juggernaut of a team. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but Dantonio is empty shell of Bo and Carr. Sure on the outside the three looked fairly similar, what with all of the talk of conservative offense and discipline and hard work. But where Bo and Carr backed it up with spirit and genuine love and devotion to his team, Dantonio seems more driven by some chip on his shoulder. Of course this makes him a perfect fit for Michigan State, but should result is more glass ceilings, mediocrity, and unexpected outbursts when both the man and the program really feel some pressure. Ok, sorry for the obvious nature of my post. I've just got a ton of excitement built up in me right now and I needed to vent. Last night was like Christmas Eve and I'm giddy this morning and can't wait until 3:30. I know, crazy homerism, but this the year that we silence the doubters and cause fans, coaches, and players of every other team in the nation to emit a collective "oh shit" when they see what we're going to be capable of.
