After the tree killer, the teabagger (not the political kind) and the murderer, I don't think there's anyone left who thinks Alabama is free of whackjobs.  Quite the opposite in fact.  I think a lot of people think Alabama's fanbase is among the worst.

Of course every fanbase has their share of nut jobs. I don't think anyone would ever dispute that. It's just that some fanbases have more nut jobs than others.

For instance, take that Bama girl, add about 80,000 more of them and you have Ohio Stadium.

Among the better comments on Deadspin:

"That's the first good kick by Bama in a while"

I admit that I alughed rather heartily at this one. I don't know if it needed music though - the interplay alone was pretty entertaining.

Mike Weber started a twitter war between M & MSU, and M and OSU fans yesterday. It was just a handful of people who started tweeting the recruit (DONT TWEET RECRUITS) because Weber asked "where the fans were at."

Now I know he asked for it, but, the fans from different schools started having it out, and kept Mike attached on the argument. In the end, all schools probably looked childish, but as a Michigan fan I was most ashamed by what our fanbase did.

So please, do not tweet recruits. And if you make the mistake over breaking that rule, please do not respond to other fans trying to get you riled up. By now we know all the problems with our program, and all the stuff we can brag about and all the stuff we can get put down for. Don't beat your chest in front of a recruit, because then you're just asking to be put down.
