Maybe he really had to pee.
December 18th, 2011 at 11:54 AM ^
Hoke can't wait any longer to get on the field again and yell "Punchhhhhh".
December 18th, 2011 at 11:45 AM ^
It's called restless leg syndrome. He's shaking it under the table.
December 18th, 2011 at 11:49 AM ^
Thread over. He's a high energy guy with a stressful job.
December 19th, 2011 at 8:33 AM ^
That is the first I am seeing of that video. It is not just his arm, at the end of it he is rocking front to back and it does not seem voluntary. To me, that video is a little alarming.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:06 PM ^
You're probably right and of course I hope you are, but it just seems strange that this syndrome was absent for the first 25+ pressers then suddenly appears now. To me, it looks more like his arms are shaking.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:24 PM ^
There are an infinite number of explanations as to why you couldn't see it/it didn't happen before. As to his arms shaking, he probably has them on his lap, and shaking his leg is making them shake. Really not concerned at all.

your hooker killer pic is amazing! next to the Brian photobomb pic, your pic is my new favorite.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:36 PM ^
My higher functioning self says that there is nothing substantially wrong with Hoke - he is just stressed and probably very tired.
But my more irrational, instinct-based self says that something has seemed off about him in his pressers. He just looks so much older in one year. Maybe he just stopped dying his hair, but he looks very tired, stressed, etc, beyond levels that I would expect. The man needs a vacation, or something. I think that, as much as he loves his job, he didn't realize the difference in scrutiny between SDSU and BSU and UM. I hope he gets a few good nights of sleep and some time with his family for the holiday.
December 18th, 2011 at 2:04 PM ^
"glewe", are you suggesting that SDSU and BSU don't have over-educated underachieving bloggers that ripped on Hoke before he even coached a game for the team they chronicle?
I doubt he is losing sleep over the opinions of the bubble screen gurus around here.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:35 PM ^
Restless legs isn't really a shaking issue, more of a needs to be stretched/exercised out feeling. The shaking seems to be more of his arms. But the fact that it lasts only a minute or so makes it seem much more controllable versus having tremors or some sort of true neurologic condition. Probably just bouncy, especially if this hasn't been noticed before (per another blogger).
December 18th, 2011 at 11:45 AM ^
Get well soon coach
December 18th, 2011 at 11:46 AM ^
All of the above? I can't imagine the toll a head coaching job like that takes on your body. Maybe he got sick.
December 18th, 2011 at 11:47 AM ^
Maybe restless leg syndrome at worst. He's tapping his toe virgorously. In my opinion, that's all.
December 18th, 2011 at 11:52 AM ^
looks like he may be moving his legs under the table as others have said.

<br>Irresponsible post iMO!
December 18th, 2011 at 11:58 AM ^
Overabundance of toughness trying to escape.
December 18th, 2011 at 11:56 AM ^
Probably just the flu. He looks tired.
December 18th, 2011 at 11:57 AM ^
If there's something wrong wirh Hoke then I dont want to be right.
December 18th, 2011 at 11:58 AM ^
He stops for a few seconds at 16:22.
My wife does it frequently, and it will shake the dining table. Sometimes the tapping sounds like there's an angry woodpecker trying to get in the house. She's not even conscious she's doing it.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:03 PM ^
Ha, I do that a lot, too. It's a fidgety thing, and if it's a habit, quite some time can go by before you realize what you're doing.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:01 PM ^
I sense nothing wrong with him... except for some possible indigestion at the 19:05 mark.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:09 PM ^
December 18th, 2011 at 12:10 PM ^
I agree with the other posters -- he either has restless legs, or perhaps he has a cold or the flu. A lot of times your body fights off the flu while you are super busy, and then the first instant you start relaxing a little bit (i.e. after the season ends), you get sick. I'm guessing that is what happened, and that he just feels sick up there and keeps shaking his legs as a distraction / to fight off the chills.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:13 PM ^
prolly just bouncing his legs. don't read into it
December 18th, 2011 at 12:18 PM ^
He could be tapping his toe and that is causing the movement. Either way, ridiculous to even speculate and overanalyze over one video. This is how false internet rumors start.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:14 PM ^
to me. He is shaking his leg quite a bit, and does look a little pale. But I don't think it's anything serious. I think we should be more concerned about the guy who hacks up a lung @ 7:47.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:19 PM ^
...and I have it myself. Perhaps he does as well. I am not terribly worried.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:20 PM ^
Hoke does a tremendous Stanky Leg.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:25 PM ^
He's obviously masturbating.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:30 PM ^
I do this when I am a little nervous like at a tight game or when I am ansty to get to work but have to sit for a minute to either explain instructions or receive instructions. It's fair to say that Hoke is not exactly at home sitting for a 20 minute presser either. His voice never changes and his posture stays the same through out so I chalk it up to being restless, sitting at a long press conference covering practice.
(Insert Iverson "practice" comments! Ha ha!)
December 18th, 2011 at 2:57 PM ^
Gonna go out on a limb here and guess that the "this" in your post is not referring to the post that precedes yours.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:30 PM ^
Well, he's just got a deal there. Its a boo boo, shouldn't be out long
December 18th, 2011 at 12:40 PM ^
So Brady had a cup of coffee and we're posting forum topics about this? Is this because flight aware hasn't figured out how to track cars yet?
December 18th, 2011 at 12:49 PM ^
From the slightly confused look on his face to raspy wheezy voice he most likely suffers from Trisomy 21.
December 18th, 2011 at 1:52 PM ^
As someone with a family member that has Downs, I want to beg you to Bolivia. Not funny.
December 18th, 2011 at 2:05 PM ^
This comment is hilarious when you aren't looking at the board from an iPhone and you can't see the post from MasonBildenwhatever that you are actually responding to.
December 18th, 2011 at 5:10 PM ^
Thanks for clarifying, I horridly sat reading my post for a solid two minutes.
December 18th, 2011 at 12:53 PM ^
I was worried until I saw the video. To me, it seems obvious that he's sick, not restless leg syndrome. Not a big deal.
December 18th, 2011 at 1:07 PM ^
I think everyone has had those days or moments where you just can't sit or stay still. Where you just don't feel right or don't feel comfortable in your own skin. Where you just don't want to be where you are. Where you're just simply restless.
December 18th, 2011 at 1:11 PM ^
Don't let a certain B1G school hear about this or they'll be telling recruits that Hoke is gravely ill and will be forced to retire soon as they were doing with Carr.
Now that I think about it, and think about Meyer .....
December 18th, 2011 at 1:17 PM ^
The fuck is this thread? Go get some coffee yourself and use that giant blood cooling radiator in your head for a minute.
December 18th, 2011 at 1:17 PM ^
I do the very same thing. On numerous occasions I've caught myself shaking my leg (which jars my entire body) by moving the front of my foot up and down quickly in meetings. I noticed in presser video Coach Hoke stops shaking from time to time but drifts back into it. It’s all benign and really has no significance whatsoever, especially when he’s winning more than 75% of the games and whipping Ohio.
December 18th, 2011 at 1:19 PM ^
Who ever said there was? Tell me where they live and I'll set them straight.
December 18th, 2011 at 1:24 PM ^
Looks like he's tapping his foot. I do it all the time, I hope people don't think I'm sick because of that. I just do it when I've been sitting for a while.
December 18th, 2011 at 1:28 PM ^
Should just delete this topic.
December 18th, 2011 at 2:45 PM ^
Agreed. Why give our buddies out there something to talk about. Pointless speculation.
December 18th, 2011 at 1:55 PM ^
It's all part of a secret training program -- he's perfecting the ability to point with his toes.
December 18th, 2011 at 2:02 PM ^
Maybe he has a staph infection
