Hopefully the Tigers are good..

Penny for a fifth starter is pretty darn good.
Plus an interesting offseason for the Lions/NFL should keep us entertained. The wings look as good as usual. The pistons are a freaking nightmare though.

Hoping Peterson (?) the great corner from LSU falls to the Lions..
January 16th, 2011 at 10:28 AM ^
ehhh.. Peterson's looking like he'll probably get off the board top 5 or so, the Lions would have a better chance with Nebraska's corner, Prince Aka-something. But both seem to be a long shot

Birds are usually happiest when provided with birdseed. Or stale bread.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:24 AM ^
Ah, unless the french fry contains vinegar. Vinegar is good for beak structure.

that feeder is natural?
January 16th, 2011 at 1:01 AM ^
Feeders grow on feeder trees. Anyone who's in the Audobon Society knows that.
January 16th, 2011 at 8:42 AM ^
Didn't know there were bird enthusiasts on this thread, I was going to say the old term bird lovers, but that didn't sound right.

You should see these flying seagull rats here in Anchorage power down a cheeseburger.

I'm sorry I'll pick it up, go back to the drawing board. In the meantime there's a cock in the hen house.

are committed to the cause.....or you should be committed. What do you do if you are in the bathroom when the clock strikes midnight? .....stop midstream and run to the computer to post or just take the computer into the can with you?
January 16th, 2011 at 12:22 AM ^
I guess I dont see the fuss. We still have the best young talent on offense
I continue to see nothing but brighter days ahead for the Meeechigan football program
Rodrigo, I like. Always. But, he's Doug Collins at this point.
Go Blue. 2011, Our Time.

Top ten offense in year 3 bitches...top ten offense in year 3.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:36 AM ^
Especially encouraged that Hoke has said he plans to utilize a 'hybrid' offense. Looking forward to Denard becoming effective as a drop-back passer..adding to his repetoire...
January 16th, 2011 at 2:45 AM ^
If you are comparing Brady Hoke to Phil Jackson?
January 16th, 2011 at 2:53 AM ^
Well, in 1988 all Phil Jackson was was a one time hippie, permanent Deadhead North Dakota U guy who could coach a CBA team.
Brady and Phil have one thing in common as they take on their first bigtime job. A transcendent talent to lead their team.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:27 AM ^
There are probably:
days until the Maize faces the Blue in what may very well be the first literal "Spring Game" we've had in 4 years.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:31 AM ^
Look at that Nike-wearing stud.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:33 AM ^
The current #89 is some fantastically gritty WR that I've never heard of and has never seen a camera while in uniform, evidently.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:36 AM ^
And, I know the D is still shaky, shaky, shaky
BUT
Instead of losing our top three players like we did coming into this year--four when you factor in the Troy injury--we get everyone back. We can progress.
We'll have better D coaches. I mean, we dont know who they are yet, but they're better. Book It.
Besides, how RAD will hands on Brady Hoke be with Mike Martin for a year. The man who trained Renes and Steele gets to mold Ash, Wilkins, Black and Talbott. Folks want to downplay that stuff, but they shouldnt.
January 16th, 2011 at 12:42 AM ^
I thought he would come back regardless, but I wonder if Hoke being HC with his DL expertise was a factor...
January 16th, 2011 at 12:48 AM ^
Yeah, I'm really not too worried about our defense. I'd like a front four of Roh, MM, Q, RVB with guys like Black, Wilkins, Ash, Talbott and BWC backing them up.
At LB I like Demens in the middle, and then the best two of Cam Gordon, Mike Jones, and JB Fitz at the OLB spots. Josh Furman and Jake Ryan can come in and spell guys, if needed. Maybe Isaiah Bell will make an appearance, I don't know.
For DBs, I like TW on one side and JT or Avery on the other. I think CC, Talbott and Countess see time as well. Some combo of Carvin, Marvin, Kovacs and Vinopal will be the safeties, and they'll do fine. Maybe a little Tom Gordon.
OK, that got a little too "OMG 2011 depth chart!"-esque, but I think that makes for a top 50 defense, maybe better. Lots of returning experience, a good amount of talent and much more age than last year.
