Hopefully the Tigers are good..
Penny for a fifth starter is pretty darn good.
Plus an interesting offseason for the Lions/NFL should keep us entertained. The wings look as good as usual. The pistons are a freaking nightmare though.
Hoping Peterson (?) the great corner from LSU falls to the Lions..
ehhh.. Peterson's looking like he'll probably get off the board top 5 or so, the Lions would have a better chance with Nebraska's corner, Prince Aka-something. But both seem to be a long shot
Meeeechigan swept Generic State U in hockey this weekend! Wooo!
I'm so forgettin' excited for this season you country strong!
St. Pat's day, Opening Day, first college football preview magazines come out, then rumors out of 2 a days...
No fantasy football draft prep? And Spring Game?
my body is a wonderland.
Benign, positive, definitely non-inflammatory comment
MGoBlog is not for the faint of heart. The thread police will pwn you if you screw up just this much.
What does that mean?
Pro Tip: When encountering an unfamiliar term on the Internet, urbandictionary.com is THE place to look it up. Context and common sense are the next-best guides.
and tribulations of being a n00b.
Welcome to the Internet. We're here to help.
Why on earth are you carpet bombing this place with utter nonsense tonight?
Well then, why the fuck not. Western is so dead. So are the Irish. Go Blue
Play it again.
you were late tonight mister
Birds are usually happiest when provided with birdseed. Or stale bread.
Ah, unless the french fry contains vinegar. Vinegar is good for beak structure.
that feeder is natural?
Feeders grow on feeder trees. Anyone who's in the Audobon Society knows that.
Didn't know there were bird enthusiasts on this thread, I was going to say the old term bird lovers, but that didn't sound right.
You should see these flying seagull rats here in Anchorage power down a cheeseburger.
I'm sorry I'll pick it up, go back to the drawing board. In the meantime there's a cock in the hen house.
Those chickens ate all my MC Donald's french fries while I was in Hawaii several years ago.
are committed to the cause.....or you should be committed. What do you do if you are in the bathroom when the clock strikes midnight? .....stop midstream and run to the computer to post or just take the computer into the can with you?
I guess I dont see the fuss. We still have the best young talent on offense
I continue to see nothing but brighter days ahead for the Meeechigan football program
Rodrigo, I like. Always. But, he's Doug Collins at this point.
Go Blue. 2011, Our Time.
Top ten offense in year 3 bitches...top ten offense in year 3.
Especially encouraged that Hoke has said he plans to utilize a 'hybrid' offense. Looking forward to Denard becoming effective as a drop-back passer..adding to his repetoire...
If you are comparing Brady Hoke to Phil Jackson?
Well, in 1988 all Phil Jackson was was a one time hippie, permanent Deadhead North Dakota U guy who could coach a CBA team.
Brady and Phil have one thing in common as they take on their first bigtime job. A transcendent talent to lead their team.
There are probably:
days until the Maize faces the Blue in what may very well be the first literal "Spring Game" we've had in 4 years.
Look at that Nike-wearing stud.
The current #89 is some fantastically gritty WR that I've never heard of and has never seen a camera while in uniform, evidently.
And, I know the D is still shaky, shaky, shaky
Instead of losing our top three players like we did coming into this year--four when you factor in the Troy injury--we get everyone back. We can progress.
We'll have better D coaches. I mean, we dont know who they are yet, but they're better. Book It.
Besides, how RAD will hands on Brady Hoke be with Mike Martin for a year. The man who trained Renes and Steele gets to mold Ash, Wilkins, Black and Talbott. Folks want to downplay that stuff, but they shouldnt.
I thought he would come back regardless, but I wonder if Hoke being HC with his DL expertise was a factor...
Yeah, I'm really not too worried about our defense. I'd like a front four of Roh, MM, Q, RVB with guys like Black, Wilkins, Ash, Talbott and BWC backing them up.
At LB I like Demens in the middle, and then the best two of Cam Gordon, Mike Jones, and JB Fitz at the OLB spots. Josh Furman and Jake Ryan can come in and spell guys, if needed. Maybe Isaiah Bell will make an appearance, I don't know.
For DBs, I like TW on one side and JT or Avery on the other. I think CC, Talbott and Countess see time as well. Some combo of Carvin, Marvin, Kovacs and Vinopal will be the safeties, and they'll do fine. Maybe a little Tom Gordon.
OK, that got a little too "OMG 2011 depth chart!"-esque, but I think that makes for a top 50 defense, maybe better. Lots of returning experience, a good amount of talent and much more age than last year.
Was he injured this year? I recall hearing great things about him in the spring, could be a break-out year etc. Is he a soph or junior this year?
Again, with the expertise in DL coaching..
Sign me up. Right now.
I like the potential, for sure. loving the fact that an actual depth chart can be talked about. And that most of our top defending talent have three--of not 4 years--left of eligibility
Very excited about Ash and Wilkins down the line.
Demens, he made a lot of plays this year, despite not playing a real down the first half of the season. Game turning plays in the Illinois game during the first half when things looked bleak.
Which I agree is entirely possible with all of the returning starters (how many by the way, are coming back with game experience?) and little or no drop off in the offense..dare I say it but our team could be a solid kicker away from being a contender at the end of the season.
I mean, that's absolute crazy talk... but yeah why not it's January.
I'm not arguing at all, because I like the look of that depth chart, but where would some freshmen fit in? Any way that a couple of them (Frost or Crawford, perhaps, if they end up here?) could compete for starting time? Also, with big will coming in on the DLine, would he take Q's spot?
This is going to take way more time than it seems for me.
... always seems like forever. The other offseasons pass so much faster because im usually busy watching football.
'Tis the season to be looking for any and all news to the program (there's a lot this year), then signing day during the down time. Once I begin to think that next season will never come, the spring game comes around. And it's great. However, it ends quickly and then I'm back to waiting for the season. I spend this time watching highlights from the spring game, searching for more news and contemplating what the next season will be like. The further I am removed from the spring game, the more time I spend on this sort of thing. And just when I've lost all hope, it's September and I'm soaking up autumn football in Ann Arbor once again.
As pissed as I still am about everything you always make me smile..thank you.
For now, we wait for "Michigan Football -Yet Again Revised". Hopefully, we're in for happier endings again.
