Everyone Murders

One of the Mad Magicians, a middling coach (his 9-1 1964 record helps the cosmetics a lot, but he really wasn't very good as Michigan's HC overall), and a great AD at Iowa.  Plus, by all reports, a gentleman, gracious on the way out, and an all-around good guy.

He had some great hires at Iowa - Hayden Fry, Dan Gable and Lute Olsen.  His athletic and professional careers were, overall, stellar.  And despite his relative lack of success as Michigan's HC, he never embarrassed the program or the school.

Good call, OP.

HAHA yep. I'm sure that's exactly what they're thinking now. They had some fun when we had bad coaching and teams. Those days are gone. Now every mid-October, MSU fans will go back to asking, "Is it basketball season yet?"

was creative with his use of Bass if you consider highly-telegraphed sweeps and direct snaps without any particular rhyme or reason to be "creative."  Mostly I remember them as being a waste of a down.

can you direct us to a link where there is a decent quality image?  it would look great next to the b&w harmon pic in my office.
