State fans' comments and general attitude over the past decade have only served to support Mike Hart's assertion that they are, and always will be, lil' Brah. There isn't another fanbase in the country with a greater inferiority complex. A little success on their part did nothing to change that dynamic.

I rather enjoy how they think football started in 2008. It's also hysterical when they claim UM hasn't done anything since the 40s and that we have been underachieving for decades. Well, nothing happened prior to 2008....except that we won a national title, many conference titles, and owned MSU for around forty years. They choose to pretend that everything from 2008 is what matters the most and act like we haven't owned them in recent years. The ownage will continue later this year when we beat them again.

and these clowns think last year was just a fluke and Dantonio will have them back to 10 wins again this year. They don't get the fact that their little run was a combination of a lot of luck and Michigan's meltdown. Their little run is over.

I've thought about this over the last several years, and even on this site there have been people who wanted to tone down the "little brother" talk due to the lack of winning, but I would agree with you here - if there's anything that has shown us that the label is accurate and that is not about the record but an attitude, it has been the last several years.

Agree 100%. The reason I hate State 10X more than OSU is because I personally know a couple dozen Sparties, having grown up in Michigan. 2 years ago, after our loss, some family friends I know dressed up as the infamous devastated Michigan fan for Halloween. That proved to me that no matter how much success they have on the field they will always have the "little brother" inferiority complex.

I don't understand this picture. How is someone on Michigan outrunning a football player with Gator speed?

Awesome Fall weather coming.  And Harbaugh bringing back the glory of the Mike Hart days and beyond.  Can't wait for this team to take the field.  Gonna be a fantastic season!!

Just need to get tickets to the game against little brother for my annual trek back to Ann Arbor!!

the Train is leaving the station. Time to name the 1's and scheme the Gators. This might be the most enjoyable season in years watching this young talent come together as a great Michigan team. It won't be without busted assignments and a few head scratching plays, but this young talent is explosive and will deliver way more big-time positive plays than in 2016. And I think the OL will no longer hold back our potential as it will mature really well for November - it's ceiling has yet to be met and progress will be made every week under Frey.

Yeah I have a feeling Spartacus is in for another rude awakening this fall in the Big House.  Thinking about Dantonio's tenure, he is a good coach, but he had the exceptional luck of catching Michigan in the bad coaching years between Rodriguez and Hoke.  Now that Harbaugh is at the helm it's going to be a miserable existence for him.

A soul cleansing Rutgersish ass kicking of Sparty. I usually leave blowouts early. But not if this one goes our way. I want to watch and savor every point. Then later watch and rewatch the game. Want to see plenty of sideline closeups of Groucho Mark's sour puss reaction during the game.

Pride comes before the fall. Where's the threat. We are selling results not promises. Where's all the Spartans. I just think it is time to put a stake in them at this point.

This isn't over. It'll never be over. It's just starting. JH will be coaching here for a long time.

I am a Michigan fan from birth as both of my parents went to U of M.  I live in Texas and will be attending the Florida game at JerryWorld with my dad.  The last and only Michigan game I attended was vs UCLA in the Bluebonnet Bowl in the 80's, so it has been a while.

Are the Michigan fans going to coordinate colors for the Florida game?  I wanted to get my dad a shirt for the game and was not sure whether to go maize or blue.  If it doesn't matter, I'll just find a good looking Michigan shirt for him.  The game and shirt are a gift so I want to do it right.  Any serious suggestions or help are appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Usually, Maize is the go-to for fans because it is much more noticeable than blue. I'm not sure if anyone is coordinating any colors for the game. Also, blue is a Florida color, so anyone wearing blue on either side will tend to blend in a bit in the crowd. But at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter, so get whatever you think he will like.
