There are...
...days until Anthony "A-Train" Thomas watches Michigan spank Hawaii into submission.
Needless to say, but Anthony was a beast at Michigan. He played running back from 1997 to 2000. Anthony broke Michigan's career rushing record with 4,472 yards. His senior year saw 1,733 yards, which helped him earn a spot on the 2000 first team All-Big Ten. He was the number two back (behind Chris Howard) on the 1997 national title team. His performance in 1997 earned him the Freshman of the Year award (named by the conference coaches and media). The Bears drafted Anthony in 2001 and he saw time with the Cowboys and Bills. As a coach, Anthony was the running backs coach at West Virginia Wesleyan College and then promoted to special teams coordinator and assistant head coach in 2012.

A month from tomorrow! I can't wait to see the jerseys today.
Do we have a time that this is happening today? I did a quick search but searching "Michigan Nike Jersey" is just a lost cause.

I'm pretty sure the event's at 10 am, but I'm not sure when we'll get to see them

Garrett Fishaw just posted a note that the event takes place at 1 pm in Detroit.
Anthony Thomas was my favorite player in the late 90s. I had a replica #32 jersey (champion version, they made jerseys back then) in high school and wore it during every Michigan game.
When I was about fourteen years old, my dad bought me a 2XL white A-Train jersey. I still have it, but to this day cannot determine why he got me a 2XL, unless it was the only one at the time. I still have and when comparing the size to my others (all medium), it's insane how different they are. It sucks, too, because I'd like to wear it duringa game every now and then, but it's just too large.
back to pick up the guys on 8/8. This year is gonna be bossanova!

Your mom's ova > any other ova
...give me a break. Popes aren't good at trash talking.
My uncle and I used to have some epic debates about the A-Train... I was a big fan while my uncle always said "he's too slow and he pussy foots around in the hole". Anyway... When you break Jaime Morris' and Tyrone Wheatley's rushing records, you are obviously doing something right. I hated seeing him drafted by the Bears. Da Bears SUCK!!! GO BLUE! Can't Wait!!!

kovacs: the hokeiest hoke playet of all time
I seem to remember Keith Jackson calling one of our games and it sure seems he liked saying, "The A-Train".
Ahhh....the man that inspired my MgoBlog username.....and one of my favorites. Probably tied with Mike Hart for my number 2 all time favorite Michigan RB...,.

ALL YOU HAD TO DO IS HOLD ON TO THE BALL AND FALL DOWN!!!!

Yup. That will forever sting.
This still gives me nightmares - he was all alone and flat out dropped the ball.

Yes. A person of his caliber should never just drop the ball like that.
Starting tailback the last time we played Hawaii, in 1998.

Here's hoping Ty Issac challenges for that starting RB spot!! And not because Smith isn't great, but because BOTH ARE!!

The A-Train will always be my favorite Wolverine. He taught me what a Michigan tailback should embody during my most formative fan years. 32 days, CAN'T WAIT!

Man, was he fun to watch!!

Very unfair, I know, but the first thing I think of when I think of the A-Train is the late fumble against Northwestern in 2000. Glass half empty thinking for sure. In my defense the reason that play and game are etched in my mind is I watched it from a hospital room where my wife was carrying our twins and fighting off pre-term labor at 25 weeks. That game was so back and forth and nerve wracking. Damn that hospital room was dark. Wife and kiddos made it to 37 weeks. Still love the A Train.

Let's not forget the fumble vs Illinois in 2000 where Thomas clearly wasn't down. We dodged a bullet that game

I'll never forget watching that game with my best friend...and our mouths just dropped
