The picture of Leach is from the 78 Rose Bowl. And that was one of the most heartbreaking games I've ever watched. We were #1 much of the year with only a loss to Minnesota screwing up a perfect season so we had an outside shot at the MNC. And we were a heavy favorite over Washington only to fall behind 24-0 before starting what looked to be an amazing comeback that fell JUST short when a sure TD pass was juggled by Braylon's dad Stan Edwards and then intercepted off Ewards back on the goal line.
Fuck Warren Moon by the way.
Out of all the heartbreaking bowl losses Bo had, this one's the worst for me. I think it was because of our valiant comeback, and then to have the most crazy play with the ball glancing off of Stan's helmet and right into the fucking arms of the Washington defender right at the goal line.
When it comes to bowl games, there is no more snakebit college football coach in history than Bo Schembechler. It's not even close.
There is one good thing to have come out of that game though... amazingly, Kurt Stephenson's 76-yd TD pass from Leach is still the Rose Bowl record.

147 days is almost half a year. This is BS! Why do we have to suffer through the insufferable months of July and August, anyway? Those months suck apeshit as it is, and they'll be worse this year. At least fall camp starts in August, and some warmup games.
Why haven't some of you smart engineering grads invented a time machine yet? Get hot, you lazy ass bastages!!
