for number days left until this season is over, assuming the last game being against OSU?  Seriously I will always love Michigan  and watch them no matter what, but I just want this season to end.

Excited, but the OOC games are tough to watch sometimes due to boredom and it seems like conference play takes forever to come.

Not counting when I've been abroad, I think Saturday was the first Michigan game I haven't watched to the last minute in 25 years. A quarter of a century. But as Inside the Box Score puts it, it doesn't matter.

I started as a freshman at Michigan in 1994. I can proudly say that since that date, I have watched every single televised minute of every game played. Twenty years.

I turned off the second half of the fourth quarter and I don't expect to do more than fast forward through the next three games on Dvr delay at night, if I watch at all. The reason is that while I trashed people on this site for saying the exact same thing weeks ago, I am actively rooting against any more wins. We need to hit rock bottom and force hoke's termination. I know that this is for the best. But, I still can't bring myself to turn on a game of my beloved wolverines and root against them. So, I am not watching until OSU.

Particularly upsetting since I spend 9 months of the year looking forward to the magical 3-3.5 months that is college football season.

I have watched every televised UM game since I attended my first game.

That was the 1969 UM - OSU game. The big upset of OSU in Bo's first OSU game.

I became a student in 1970.

Once upon a time ABC limited the number of games a team could appear on TV to three times a year. That would probably be ND, MSU, and OSU. But not necesssarily so. Sometimes it would include the 3rd best team in the Big Ten. and sometimes not even the ND game.

The thrilling 1980 ND game at ND (Wangler) where UM lost 29-27 on a last second FG was not televised. Supposedly the wind stopped blowing allowing a long 51 field goal to bearly clear the crossbar. I had to rely on the Ufer radio broadcast.

Everyone is telling their stories of how long they've been football fans but now it's all about basketball. Well I have always loved UM basketball. My first memories are of Gary Grant and Antoine Joubert. But UM basketball hasn't been great every single year. In fact after the Traylor, Taylor and Baston years things got bleak, very bleak. And there were NO fans at those home games. I've said it before but those home games against MSU were brutal to attend. But now they're good again with a competent coach (who many didn't think that way after his first 3+ years and who was not fired by the worst AD ever) and everybody is loving the basketball team. It's funny how things have changed for the basketball team. Just like how things can and in my opinion will change for the football team. You guys can all stop watching these kids play for your school if you want. You can all swear off your season tickets and turning on the TV all you want. But just to be clear, I will GUARANTEE every single one of you will be back, when things have turned around. You can label that any way you'd like, but I know you will all be back. But take it from me, we all love watching UM beat Izzo and his weird players, but no one, NO ONE enjoys it more than me. Sitting there in Crisler, listening to Sparty fans cheer so loud you can't even hear the band makes me enjoy the process of turning things around so much more. I'm not saying I'm a better football fan than anyone, I haven't had season tickets since '97. What I am saying is yes losing sucks, but a) it won't last forever and b) it will make winning again so much more enjoyable. Especially when you don't swear off your support for the kids that are truly trying to represent your university the best they can with a LOT of hard work, blood sweat and tears. Sorry if this sounds preachy.
