I freaking love that picture.
Hoping D-Green and D-Smith can emulate THIS #32.
I believe that Ty Isaac will be wearing #32 on offense, so hopefully he can channel this #32 and distribute the power equally amongst the RB corps. That would make for some big smiles in Ann Arbor certainly.
Glad that that the wait is not much longer for football though. I should start working on the "end of OT Season" post, although we'll still have a couple weeks yet.
Somehow this is the ATrain TD I remember the best; maybe because it doesn't get any easier than this...
UM didn't play their bowl game in Hawaii, that was a regular season game. They played in the Citrus Bowl after the 1998 season.
Love me some A-train but he had a habit of putting the ball on the ground at inopportune times.
Well... that one time in particular
your thinking Northwestern 2000. He also put it on the ground late in the 2000 Orange Bowl inside the Alabama 5. I remember the 2000 Illinois game too - except the refs blew the call and UM got to keep the ball.
Almost there.
Thunder and lightning is a good way to describe it...
Who's in the picture? The esteemed Jordan Kovacs wore #11 as an honorary Wistert, right?
/s - hopefully obviously
/get off my lawn
/I miss these posts and am quite excited for football to be back
29 days and 4 hours until the first day of NCAA FBS.
651,432 days left?!
As soon as I saw There Are... my mind quickly added up the days and I pictured Kovacs before I clicked. Thank you for this!
Who we use for Aug 29 and 28 for the countdown :)
We must protect this house!
Anyone know what Mr Kovacs is doing these days? I would love to see him get into coaching and maybe even eventually end up back at Michigan in some capacity.
is still listed on the Miami Dolphin's active roster...at least as of today.
I went to the Dolphins game last year week 17. He was still on the active roster then.
I was driving home last night, realized we're <5 weeks from the start of the season and started singing the Victors.
I live right by a High School and their marching band started practicing on Monday night. It's happening!
IT CHECKS OUT. HE'S RIGHT.
Nick Benda days left.
31 nights, 32 days if you include today. Why you gotta buzzkill it, anyway?
mon frere
Jordan Kovacs is above making a sack. Your argument is invalid.
I'm so geeked out about the season starting I suffered through the SMU/Rutgers rerun on ESPNU last night just to watch a college game. It just made me hungrier. C'mon season! GO BLUE!
Can't wait. Curious to see how this season ends up shaking out.
"Kovas with the killshot!"
[best call ever!!!!!!!!]
to make the same comment. Kill Shot! Great call.
I'm guessing didn't mean to downvote this thread then?
Hijack Alert! (because it isn't worth a thread and this is the top thread on the board)
Every time I read any headline with a reference to the Buffalo Bill's running back Fred Jackson my instinctive reaction is: WFT!? ... followed but laughter which is slightly audible.
And then I laugh at myself for falling for it again...
FRED JACKSON SIGNS ONE-YEAR EXTENSION WITH BILLS

That guy never missed a tackle. Probably the most reliable defender we've had in years
Was that the game where we got dumped on and there were tornado warnings all over the place?
Also featured this great and unbiased piece of analysis before the game took place.
