I guess I missed the memo about what historical events are okay to make light of. Finding a bit of levity in a bad situation is something that humans have done to stay sane for a long time. Well, there's the problem. I have company wide emails filtered to a different mailbox and set to "Read" automatically. Too many blood drives and company softball events for my liking. I've missed a few rounds of light hors d'oeuves due to this, but it's a small price to pay for not having to conciously disregard the monthly newsletter.
