I was just reading about how Alabama will be decimated by the NFL Draft and graduation this year, especially on defense. Richardson is gone, but Lacy is pretty good. Smelley (their stud TE) is also gone. I know it's Alabama and they'll have good players to plug right in and good JUCO recruits as well, but at least we get them for the first game when they'll still be young and inexperienced.
A few juniors from Alabama leave early, that game becomes much, much less scary.

Didn't they also lose their OC? I am sure they will get someone good to replace him, but that will be another adjustment they will have to make.

next one. I would not be too cocky about beating Alabama. We couldn't move the ball against VTech, what makes you think this same offense (minus Molk and Hemingway) will be able to in 241 days?

Because teams ALWAYS improve in their second year of the system. And usually, they improve by leaps and bounds as they finally understand the playbook and stuff. Honestly, a lot of these wins this year were by sheer will and athletic ability rather than finesse and playcalling.

Nothing about that game makes me happy - Alabama should be stocked and ready. Yes it is early which helps, but after last night I'll enjoy the win and then worry about being Jerry'd in the spring.
