There are...
...days...
...until Je'Ron Stokes and the rest of the X and W receivers burn up the new Michigan Stadium Field Turf and torch the UConn secondary.

You are a good man.

With under a week to go I can barely hold myself together. Please football gods let this be a great season.

I'm sure you'd have a set of keys to open the place up, Shoe. I'd probably be given a set too, but have them taken away for not being consistently on time.
6 days... a week from today will be the day after Christmas.
August 29th, 2010 at 4:57 PM ^
The day after OSU will be like the day after Christmas.
Next Sunday will be like the day after Thanksgiving - the season of festivities will have begun.

only 6 days until the game. However, most of our offensive sets feature 3 WR's who are called X,Y,Z. Who is this "W" you speak of?
August 29th, 2010 at 9:48 AM ^
...an outside receiver. When there are four receiver sets, the second outside receiver is a W. My guess is that Stokes is most likely to see the field in those sets.

Do you have access to ESPN3? It'll be on there. Justin.tv will probably also be streaming it.

I'm not sure I can help you, maybe hit up a sports bar? If you can wait and lock yourself off from the media entirely for a couple of days, BigTenTrackers will probably have an HD torrent come Monday.

at Brother Jimmy's BBQ on E 16th St (near Union Square) and Professor Thom's a few blocks away (seems the club has a distinct downtown bias this year).
August 29th, 2010 at 10:13 AM ^
That Brother Jimmy's is sick. I've done the Prof Thoms thing, but Brother Jimmy's will probably be better... if not for the southern style BBQ. Tons of MMMmm mmmmm!
Is this an official move? I know Prof Thoms was official, and Forum was unofficial, but people went there.

I would think that game will be on either ABC or ESPN2, especially in NYC. If you have any issues watching any games in the future, I'm sure some local NYCers (myself included) could meet up. I have FiOS (Big Ten Network) but for the occassional couple of games that aren't as available, there are tons of bars throughout the city. I'll be in Atlanta Week 1, and @ ND week 2 but after that, no wolverine should go without being able to watch games, especially in NYC.

If you still have a valid login for the University of Michigan, you can log into the UM VPN using the Cisco VPN client. As long as you're logged in, you should get ESPN3 service. Also, I believe that Xbox 360 will have streaming sometime soon if you have a LIVE Gold account, but I'm not sure when that's going to be available.

I was under the impression that you still had to have access to ESPN 3 for it to work on the Xbox

all of you know that I love you guys!!! Total non-homo sports related kind of way. We may have had our differenes but as this offseason shows if we stick together and keep cheering for 'THE TEAM THE TEAM' then we can make it through anything. Screw what the experts want to say, screw what the media wants to say, screw what everyone else wants to say WE ARE MEEEEECHIGAN and we will prevail. Thank you all for helping me get through another off season!!!

Now just help me get through six more fucking days!!!!!!!!!!!
FWIW, a lot of guys get negged and slammed for posting new opinion/analysis threads about the offense, QB situation, etc. I understand it's repetitive and all, but I'm going batshit crazy and I'll take whatever I can get until we blow UConn away. Plus some of those seemingly useless threads lead to entertaining comments. This site and lots of beer will carry me through.
