Wear Maize if you are attending the game.
Wear Maize even if you're not attending the game. If you're in town, fly that Michigan flag to let all the incoming Spartan fans know that they are in MICHIGAN COUNTRY.
Any thoughts on how many of their fans will show up? Also I am in section 15 row 29 anybody know if those are decent seats?
a 1/8 capacity Michigan State crowd. Not due to our fans lack of interest, more due to Spring Break and due to the amount of MSU interest in basketball. Unlike previous years (when it was more like 1/3), I don't expect it to be a very vocal crew. It's pins and needles in East Lansing right now.
If they win however, just remember, violence is not the answer!!. (and they will give you reason to consider it)
If they win, I doubt there will be much gloating going on. Probably more relief than happiness.
Things to remember:
- Be loud. It's spring break and the student section will probably be thinly populated. The rest of you need to pick up the slack.
- Don't rush the floor. Should the day favor us, cheer loudly from your seat, but don't rush the floor as if we just won the Big 10 conference. This will be a big win, certainly, but keep it in perspective. Trust me, treating MSU as just another opponent gets under their skin more than anything.
- Be cvil to visiting fans. Granted, Sparty would never pay you the same courtesy (see Night of the Juggalos), but remember, boorish behavior is their thing, not ours and that's why we're better.
- Show your team your appreciation, regardless of the outcome. This has been a fun season.
day.
If the Wolverines do infact win tomorrow, I think there will be a huge collective gasp before the exuberant cheers. After all, we are a bubble team.....every little (and huge) win helps now.
