we'll destroy them. Their offense did absolutely nothing all day against a vulnerable MSU secondary, and their defense allowed a completely 1-dimensional MSU offense to run for 200 yards. What a punchless, lifeless, gutless, worthless performance by a bunch of chokers.

Sadly, OSU will do what pretty much everyone else does: suck the week before Michigan and then play their best game of the season against the Wolverines.

The fact is that no one will ever know what 'would' have happened in the aftermath of a victory of msu for us. I believe his thought process is that anything 'could ' have happened if we had of won that game? Maybe we let down against any of the teams that we beat? So to answer your second question: 'any other game COULD have had a different outcome if we beat msu. Yet we will not know for this year's Michigan team.
Go Blue!

Uhhhh... have you not seen The Butterfly Effect?
November 21st, 2015 at 7:02 PM ^
If you want the glory, get it done yourself. The punter and long snapper didn't get it done and it will cost Michigan big time this year.
Hopefully this stays with the team for a long time, so we can blow those fuckers our for the next decade.

Possibly B1G title, and maybe even more...
But with Glasgow out, I doubt we'd go too far there.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:45 PM ^
We don't muff that punt, and Staee just clinches the Big Ten East for us.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu..........

Seems unfair to just consider that when you consider that's just 1 of 3 gamechanging plays we had. Minnesota also could've beat us with no time remaining and Indiana could've stopped us on 4th & goal at the end of regulation.
I'll take 2 of 3 'coin flip' games
November 21st, 2015 at 7:50 PM ^
We still need him for the OSU game, so shut your negative trap.
November 21st, 2015 at 8:26 PM ^
Yes, it was that play that ended it but the fact that we were outgained by156 yards, like the punt mishap was a contributing factor. The fact that on our last possession, the coaches made the play calls they did which once again resulted in a 4th down is a contributing factor. The officiating was a factor. The fact that O'Neill punted for 80 yards leaving State on their own 2 yard line might have been a contributing factor in why we were still in the game. Leave this shit alone! They played and lost as a team, win or lose they are all in as a team. Our own coach has essentially asked us to show a little class on social media but still, we fail to do so.

Is it unreasonable that I wouldn't put it past Urban to totally screw the pooch on this one just to screw us over?
I mean, what a completely garbage effort.

just to screw us over! That SOB! I thought it was on the zebras out to get us! You know what, this is what we deserve when we are forced to root for OSU what an average team they are.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:41 PM ^
JT Barrett was in on it too.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:01 PM ^
I think urbz would rather have just beat us than screwing the pooch against Michigan State to keep us out of the BIG championship game. Seeing as state still has to beat PSU to punch their ticket to Indy.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:04 PM ^
Yes.
I've come to the realization that in this universe, it is inexplicably MSU's year. In every parallel universe, they have 3+ losses but in ours, every comceivable outcome will go their way.
Even the Nebraska game, which they lost on an admittedly bad call will not matter in the grand scheme of things. They will beat Penn St. They will beat Iowa, both in probably excruciatingly awful and/or fortunate fashion. They'll get the 4th spot in the Playoffs. Book it.
I hope that I'm wrong, but at this point it's easier to just realize everything is going to go their way and go about my business. Go Blue, Beat OSU.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:12 PM ^
they lose a ton of players after this season. They're beginning to lose recruits. Their time is over, save for this season.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:53 PM ^
I wish I could believe this but consider the facts:
MSU just overcame a -2 turnover differential with a limited passing game, back-up QBs, an improved rushing attack, and an awesome defense to pull out a victory against a top-5 team on the road.
MSU has a good recruiting class coming in.
MSU is not going to go away while Dantonio is HC of Sparty.
We will have to beat MSU over and over and over.
November 21st, 2015 at 9:52 PM ^
Yes. Frankly, I'm beginning to hate MSU. They shouldn't even be worth my time to post about. Dantonio is coaching at a flat-out elite level over the past five years. Extremely irritating.
November 21st, 2015 at 11:14 PM ^
but I never recall them losing recruits. They are lost Narduzzi which was a huge blow. their defense is nothing like it was even last year.
This game was atrocious. The didn't lead in this game either and OSU had a pathetic game plan.
November 22nd, 2015 at 6:08 AM ^
i don't care what the rankings have said, osu is not a top 5 team this year.
November 21st, 2015 at 8:12 PM ^
I've heard that before though. When MSU lost Cousins, Greg Jones and Gordon at LB. When they lost Bell. When they lost Bullough and Dennard. Yet they're in the hunt every year.
November 21st, 2015 at 7:27 PM ^
OSU sucks, but they're just like any other team. They want to win, and they don't and shouldn't give a damn about anyone else.
November 21st, 2015 at 8:00 PM ^
I think a lot of us had that thought at one point or another, but Urb was just out coached this time.
It sucked, but I'm trying to take a long view... first Urban gets taken down a peg... then Dantoni.

The Nittany Lions have a legit shot, especially if Connor Cook is out again and there is semi-normal weather. PSU can shut down MSU's offense, it's just a question of whether Hackenberg is checked out for the season or has one good game left. He looked pretty demoralized by the end of today's game.
November 22nd, 2015 at 12:29 AM ^
We'll see if PSU can buy Hack enough time to carve up MSU's secondary. Hackenburg was putting some in absolutely on the money when he felt like it today.
Ket matchup will be MSU D-line vs. Hackenburg having time to sling it

I suppose. But was he supposed to win for us? I'm just as pissed as anyone, I just hate this concept that OSU owed Michigan something.
