As I was at my first wolverine game, surrounded by season ticket holders, I found myself explaining to them who players were, about the Mealers, how the dedication would go, etc. My uncle actually said "For this being your first game you sure know alot about the team." Thanks Brian for this addiction you have created.
Beveled guilt time!
Same here. In the student section almost nobody knew who anybody was out there with all of the freshman in the game. Thanks to everyone here who contributes and keeps me informed about our beloved Wolverines!
With my family, the exchange was usually something like this.
"What happened while I was out of the room?"
"Carvin Johnson got hurt."
"Who does he play for?"
"He's a DB for Michigan."
"Oh, right. Didn't you say he got arrested or something?"
"No. Well, that was a different Michigan DB. He's not with the team anymore."
"So wait... how do you know he got hurt if he's not with the team?"
No doubt. This blog is amazing.
My cousin is a kinesiology student who just happened to get his sports medicine class during the football season, and lucked out to get to work the sidelines. (Pretty cool, I actually saw him on ABC at least 4 times on saturday...) I'll shoot him a text every once in a while, like a couple weeks ago when Woolfolk got hurt, I said, "What the heck did you do to Woolfolk?!?! I heard some student taped his ankle wrong!!!"
To which he replied, "Hey, I was there, I saw it, but I don't tape! I had nothing to do with it! How did you know about that already???"
Mgoblog, man. Mgoblog.
This blog has been my daily mainstay for news and an obsession ever since the infamous flight tracker incident; the single most amazing bit of news reporting I have ever witnessed.
Thanks to MGoBlog, I know which Talbott plays Corner and which one plays tackle.
To be honest, even though I read MGoBlog on the regular I still don't know which is which.
This is the best site, people, and information on the net for Michigan Football.
Thanks to this site, tacos have pants.
...and saying so isn't in the least bit weird.
