Thank You Seniors

Thank you to Brennen Beyer, Joey Burzynski, Anthony Capatina, Will Hagerup, Delonte Hollowell, Jonathan Keizer, Alex Swieca, Raymon Taylor, Matt Wile, Alex Mitropolous-Rundu, Jake Ryan, and 5th year Devin Gardner. Which play, play(s), or games will you remember most from your favorite senior(s) throughout their careers? For me it Devin Gardnerserformance against Notre Dame under the lights. After that game Mike Mayock had him as a top 2 round pick as a QB. I'll always remember that game from Devin. devin shredded the Irish all night long. One really poor mistake away from a perfect game really. Thanks seniors. We know it wasnt always peachy keen but you all handled it with class. Thank you for helping bring a sugar bowl trophy back to ann arbor, you will all be missed. Hopefully after today you will still have two more games to represent this great university we all know and love.

I'm going to miss cheering for RayTay (just because it's fun to say).

All these men have been through a great deal with this program.  Hopefully thier good memories far outweigh the bad.

Thank you, Seniors!

Devin against OSU last year. If they can just reach down and find a way to replicate that next weekend. Not saying it automatically guarantees a win, but these guys deserve to go out with a roar.

Won a BCS Game
Beat OHIO!
Stuck around through coach & program change
Might beat OHIO twice*
Treated us with 2 amazing Notre Dame Home Games
Treated us with 4 amazing Northwestern wins**

And some other stuff. But even more outside the football field. That DG piece linked in the preview article was amazing.

Thanks Seniors!
BEAT MARYLAND!
BEAT OHIO!
WIN YOUR BOWL GAME!
GO BLUE!

*Okay. Probably not.
**4 amazing wins, but only 2 decent games. Although they will always have given us

Ryan - His entire 2012 season. He was a one man wrecking crew that year. And his flowing golden locks made him look like Thor.

Gardner - Playing tough against a very good South Carolina defense, having brilliant games against ND and Indiana last year, and then putting on the performance of a lifetime against OSU last year. He played on a broken foot and made OSU's defense look like a bunch of JV chumps. Had we won that game, it would've gone down as the biggest upset in the history of the rivalry. He would've been carried off the field as a hero.

Gardner has given so much to this program. He's gone through 3 different coordinators, 2 head coaches, and 2 position changes, and he still never complains. While he made his share of on-field mistakes, I can only hope that QBs we have going forward have half as much heart as Gardner has.

Thanks for the commitment, the sacrifice, and the memories. A special thanks to Devin Gardner, for the grit and determination; where would we be without you? Thanks Gentleman, GO BLUE!

Thanks to all who have stayed and contributed!!

Best memory was Devin versus Minnesota in 2012.  It was 3rd down and a ton and he starts to his right, goes to his left, backs up, avoids a couple of sacks, does a 360 and then throws the ball 50+ yards and finds Dileo in the endzone for a TD.  Pure Michigan!!

I will really miss DG.  As far as performances go, I will always remember ND UTL II and his unreal performance against OSU with a malfunctioned lower body.

I really love his video board intro as well.  When everyone else is saying "Name, year and major" he has his "Devin Gardner . . . I already graduated" and then smiles.

I have always felt as though we have an embarrassing wealth of great kids here.  I know there are great kids who play everywhere, but we just have so damn many.  I really hope these guys grab a win and bowl eligibility today.

Go Blue,
Thank you, seniors!

I appreciate their hard work and feel like the coaches let them down as those who stayed were champions of nothing... sadly.

I look at last years class with the utmost respect because of what they endured.  Same with this year.

I'm gunna miss Devin giving it his all every time he stepped out onto that field. I'm gunna miss Jake Ryan who saw his rise to stardom cut short by an awful injury which he worked so hard to recover from. I'm gunna miss them all. And S/O to those who have rarely, if ever, seen the field on game days. They make this all work.

for Devin and the whole lot is acceptable.

The most Michigan of men as a class as I can recall in some time.

The fact that this era has produced the character of individuals as this class and Denard, et al, give me comfort that at least something is going right.

Thanks you gents.

Gardner last year against Ohio playing his heart out despite the lack of ribs he had by the end of the season. He'll always be one of my all time favorites even though he was so hit or miss through it all.
